Well has Therapy worked for you and what is your opinion on it? For me I feel like it just didn't work. I just can't buy what she selling me and my bad memories are the way things always have and will be. And taking anti-depressants just made me feel weak minded all the time. Well I was more or less just wondering if anyone buys into this stuff?

therapy works with two factors, do you have a good therapist and like them and do you want it to work.

Well I can answer that I did want it to work at one point. But I do feel pretty crazy at times and thought her opinion just didn't matter or was wrong. And I've grown sceptical of the therapy in general.

Not all therapists fits your needs. You could always shop around for therapists, many will do a free first time consultation.
Finding the right therapist is tough, took me 2 years.

There are different kinds of therapy for same issues. Matching with a therapist is key. Some people work better with yoga or chakra balancing. Some folks like hypnotherapy. Some a traditional setting. Some a life coach. It's about what is your means to wellness. You know you best. Find the right person. If meds are not for you maybe go more wholistic try yoga and journaling. Or art even. Read books. Work from workbooksreread your journals. Etc. They are smart but sometimes we know we have to work it alone.

I saw a therapist for depression and a psychologist for both depression and anxiety. I went in about four times a week for two hours with my therapist and one hour every thursday for my psychologist for the past 4 to 5 years.
To be honest, it never helped me. I was put on medication and it was too much for me. Like Applespark said, you can go do some exercises, write about it, go for a run, work out, swim... anything that keeps you focused on one thing. That's a really healthy kind of therapy in my opinion.
I hated talking about the same topic and feeling all this pressure. I started blogging to relieve some stress. I'd take my dog for a walk while listening to my iPod to keep my mind off of things and get some fresh air. Trust me, it's really helpful.
But if you have serious issues and feel the need to see a therapist, it's fine as well. Anything that'll keep you going on in life is what truly matters.

I have seen 8 therapists in the last 12 years (since I came down with Schizoaffective Disorder: a combination of a mood disorder and Schizophrenia) to help me cope with my disorder and live a fulfilling life. I have ended up terminating treatment with EVERY one of them. I eventually end up hating their guts as they quickly run out of good ideas and simultaneously send signals to me that they are 'superior' to me and that I need to 'learn' from them. Bullshit.

So I turned to reading psychology books instead. A sort of self-psychotherapy since the 'threat' of the therapist is absent. I have found THIS, however, IMMENSELY helpful, especially in the last year. It really has changed my views on the way the world interacts with me (and vice-versa), all without the baggage of the therapist. If the book author says something I find objectionable or pompous I simply say to myself "What a fucking asshole! They sure are an egomaniacal jerk-off." And then I let it go and move on.

I have changed my outlook on life, fired my therapist and am accomplishing more than I ever did with a therapist.
I still take my meds and most likely always will, but for now I am happy with my life.

I think therapy can be either really good or really bad for you. I have had the luck to have gotten in touch with a really really awesome therapist that has turned out to be more of a ''life coach'' than anything else.

THen you have shit robots that try to convince you that there's something wrong with your brain and what not... dont listen to them.
