Etorphine (Immobilon or M99) is a semi-synthetic opioid possessing an analgesic potency approximately 1,000-3,000 times that of morphine.[1] It was first prepared in 1960 from oripavine, which does not generally occur in opium poppy extract but rather in "poppy straw" and in related plants, Papaver orientale and Papaver bracteatum.[2] It was later reproduced in 1963 by a research group at Macfarlan-Smith and Co. in Edinburgh, led by Professor Kenneth Bentley.[3] It can also be produced from thebaine. Etorphine is often used to immobilize elephants and other large mammals. Etorphine is available legally only for veterinary use and is strictly governed by law. Diprenorphine (M5050), also known as Revivon, is an opioid receptor antagonist that can be administered in proportion to the amount of etorphine used (1.3 times) to reverse its effects. Veterinary-strength etorphine is fatal to humans. For this reason the package as supplied to vets always includes the human antidote as well as Etorphine. One of its main advantages in general veterinary work is its speed of operation and, even more important, the speed with which Revivon reverses the effects. For example, operations on valuable animals, such as racehorses, using alternative anesthetics risk the animal injuring itself as the anesthetic wears off. The rapid action of Immobilon and Revivon means the animal can be back on its feet within a relatively short time and aware of its surroundings more quickly, thus reducing any tendency to panic and move around rapidly while still partially under the influence of the anesthetic. For this reason, its use is popular with many vets.

i really think you should take ur refills and use them till you can find a new doctor, i know u said u werent.....but, u dont want to be totally out and it take 3-4 weeks till you can get in to see a doc, and then he prolly wont give you those high doses, but if u find one while you have a stash you can continue to hold that stash...... wishing you the best, i just dont want to hear you in pain or miserable saying i should have found a dr, or i found one and cant see him for a month because they are backed up....id post in the forum what ever state ur moving to for a good PM dr in the area your going, just as a little precautionary research....just my 2 cents.....
Hey Porkchop, do you use you meds strictly for pain or do you get high too? Also even if you are just using them for pain do you still get a slight buzz despite tolerance just because you know opiates are in your body? I get that sometimes from a single 5mg hydro even after ive been popping oxy 80s. Mind over matter I suppose.
i use just for pain, but i always run short at the end of the month, i may catch a slight nod here and there, no where like it used to be, i have learned that i'd much rather be really really really comfortable, not really high, than to keep chasing and chasing the high.......hey mind over mater is right, lol, i want to check out that supplement etk was talking about, sounds like it really works!!!!

Yes it is etorphine a powerful opiate, it's like morphine time 1000+ , not a muscle relaxer or anything it's an opiate type drug, and you would need a super accurate scale to even weigh a proper dose for a person, and I imagine most would just pass out..lol.. I guess it is even stonger than Fentanyl by a lot, which is only 50-100 times the potentcy of morphine, so damn..I have heard of the drug before, never seen or used it..a lot of opiates come from thebaine like hydrocodone,oxycodone,etc..although much of those drugs are made from morphine into oxy and hydrocodone as thebaine makes up a small % of the total opium poppys alkaloids,except for speacially grown opium poppies like those in Tasmania,grown for their high thebaine content and used for pharm. opiate production by the drug companys..lol. Most opiate come from opium or morphine base produced and grown in India, and a few other places, with very little getting on to the black market..
