Hey guys, I googled this a bit... found a bunch of places... some were expensive, others were unreputable.. anybody know a supplier thats neither?

I'm looking to bulk a few OZ of salvia leaves to do an xtraction myself.

    Thx

Can't help with a supplier as I'm based in the UK. Out of interest why do you want to do the extraction yourself? You'll have no idea of the strength.

If you want to go that route, grow your own, it works out much cheaper. :)

Wouldn't it take months though? I think it would be a cute experience... cute but long

And I've already smoked like 2 grams of 20x to no avail, so I want a cheap way of getting much more. Right?

Hmmm, should have worked at that strength!!!

How you are smoking it? You know you only have a single chance to get it to cross the blood/brain barrier, then the receptors all but switch off?

I don't think I've met anyone who would want to repeat a full blown salvia experience more then a few times!

Never heard about what you said about the receptors - sounds like it makes sense though! Source?

I use a torch lighter + bong with ice and held each hit for 15-20 seconds. Sometimes my lungs couldn't take it and I coughed... but more often than not I was able to hold it in...

Sorry...it's something I picked up a long time ago when I was looking from the days of newsgroups, but can verify with my own experience.

If you're using a very hot lighter and holding a large hit for as long as you can you're doing everything right though. Did both the batches come from the same source?

Maybe have a look through the vaults of erowid or another site? It took me several times until I "got it", but it does appear that some people find it harder.

Odd like you say though. :hmm:

I get mine from freshsalvia.com, they are pretty cheap ($13/an ounce) and they're quality is good. Although I wouldn't order a plant from them, as they ask around $40 something, I'd go to richter's herbs, based in Canada, they have a six plant minimum order (although they have cheap 2-3 dollar plants you can just plant around a garden) and they only charge $15 for a fully rooted, fully potted Salvia divinorum plant (called "Diviner's sage" on the website), mine came in great shape too and was plenty potent.
