It's my favourite book. :) My mom gave it (as well as the Te of Piglet) to me years and years ago. I've read it a million times though I no longer own it. I passed my copy on a few months ago to someone else I thought would enjoy it as much as I have.

I read the teh of Piglet, its a super simple happy book.
It was the first thing I ever read related to Taoism and it made me want to know more.. so that was good enough.

It's obviously meant to be a simplistic approach to Taoism. I enjoyed it, i go back to it and flip through it's tiny pages the odd day.

It's worth reading, but if your looking for one book to give you an understanding of Taoism.....well, don't look for one book to give you an understanding of Taoism. But if you do, "Tao of Pooh" isn't it.
Any of Alan Watts books on Taoism would be a better choice IMHO.

I'm reading it at the moment, I'm a complete novice when it come to Taoism and it's really interesting. Really liked the chapter on the uncarved block, at the start I was like 'whaat??' But by the end I got it completely.

Incredibly enjoyable book written in a wonderful style. I heartily recommend it even if you're not interested in Taoism, although you will learn a lot of what that's about.

    You read it?

Maybe you should read it again.

You made a pretty rude statement in the Islam forum.

As Taoists we can do whatever we like, but the question is "What purpose does it serve?" Will it bring us closer to harmony with the Tao or leave us more wrapped up in its manifestations?

The Tao of Pooh is a great book! It is really cute and simple but can teach someone new to Taoism a lot. I have read it many times. If you haven't read it I highly recommend it.

I thought it was a fine and uniquely beautiful introduction to Dao. Having read both Pooh and Piglet, I would suggest avoiding the second book. I don't think Hoff really wanted to write it.

xexon, I really like you sig pic.

It is a great book, easy to understand, yet thoughtful. Plus it uses a charactor that we all know, love and understand. Makes it easier to know where it is coming from

I to read this book and I liked it a lot. I also grew up with the characters so it kind of brought a new light to some old memories. Was a pleasant experience.

Great book, but the last chapter can be taken with a pound of salt.

Loved it. Helped me a lot whilst I was still trying to figure out what taoism was and why I liked it so much. Got a lot more out of it the second time through as well.
