havent studies shown that 75 percent of all Americans who use marijuana have never used hard drugs? Anyway wouldn't alcohol be the true gateway drug. i would guess that most first time pot smokers have already tried alcohol. Guess that wouldn't get enough press though...

 

I agree, just because alcohol is legal, to me it has much worse effects than pot?

 

The other day I walked in the parc smoking my chillum and there were some kids drinking hard alcool they criticized me for doing drugs- impossible to discuss with them they were so brainwashed, its sad if you know how toxic hard alcool is...

Yeah I was totally like.. wow.. if marijuana makes me feel good.. what else out there that they say is "bad" is actually good.. so i did a good amount of experimenting throughout life..

 

duh. If the twin that doesn't smoke pot is too square to even smoke a joint, of course they're not going to try harder drugs. People don't just pick up a needle and start shooting heroin after a life of sobriety.

 

i completly disagree with the statement that smoking weed leads to harder drugs. let's be realistic, what each person puts in their body is and should be their own choice. Marijuana is not harmful and if anything, it is a safe alterantive to drinking and drugs that can kill you. we lost too many great musciains and people to drug overdoses but never to marijuana. from my experiences anyone who smokes pot, there usual response is "wow this shit is great" not "i smoked pot so now i want to shoot up" marijuana is not what leads to harder drugs. people wanting to try new experiences leads to harder drugs.

 

What's the first drug most folk try? Booze!

I didn't read it but in my case, marijuana did lead to harder drugs. LSD, speed, you name it. It wasn't long until I overtook a mid-western town and murdered all their residents. Don't do drugs kiddies.

Seriously, it did lead to other drugs but in my case, I have an addictive personality. I become addicted to most things, food, sex, booze. It's something many of us have built into our personalities and I believe we need to keep check on.

well, it does increase the chances of other drugs being available due to the black market. No one can argue that in some cases this is true. Otherwise I agree with yall... legalize and create legit markets!
