When you dream are you ever in place's you've visited before? Maybe see people or thing's you've seen in different dream's and remember them?

Whn I dream, I alway's seem to wind up in places like market's looking at old tape casette's, or very old school's, sometime's I'm at amusement park's or water park's. There are almost alway's hallway's, corridor's, elevator's, escalators etc.

I remember meeting people in one dream I may have had year's ago, say as a child, and they'll pop up in another dream looking exactly the same.

Recently I had a dream where I was running and jumping on a river bank which I remembered in another dream. There were vine's everywhere and over hanging tree branches, everything looked the same as when I was a kid but the water was a little more murky than what it used to be.

I've alway's been able to remember most of my dream's and explain them in pretty good detail. When I was a kid, every morning after a particulary vivid dream I'd always tell my parent's about it, and so far haven't grown out of the habit either.

Is this a common thing? For someone to create their own little world of sort's and usually alway's come back to it. Everytime I dream of the places I've been in different dream's they're usually very lengthy and make me feel like I've been there for hour's. I've heard that sometimes you may feel like you've had a long dream and an hour or two might've only passed by since you fell asleep. Pretty neat! The human mind's a pretty far out thing.

I would estimate half of my dreams take place in familiar locations. It is certainly easier to remember those places.

The people in my dreams often include people I haven't seen or thought of in years. Some people I know well--lovers, family members, longtime coworkers--never show up in my dreams, but other people I've met only briefly show up again and again.

i dream of an island alot. i'm there on it hanging my feet in the water and listening to the sweet melodies the wind is carrying. i look out far into the sea, hoping at last the boy i am waiting for will return soon. but the sea has seperated him from me so he sings me messages into the wind and it carrys them to me. and i smile and watch the sun go down, knowing this boy loves me

I was in this computer lab/office place that I've been in before.
I have some fake Japan schools that I've been to at least 3 times this year
My old high school(s) is one I go to from time to time
Sometimes I lucid dream and a lot of times wake up in my house, then exit my house and my neighboorhood is there. I've revisited the same houses to meet the same people a couple times actually!!

Interesting shit. I should probably catalogue at least the dream scenes with my neighboorhood. I could probably subconsciously create a dream universe there.

yup! the OP seems to already have very vivid and good dream memory and detail. If he can subdue the excitement, he can probably lucid dream pretty easily!

the subconscious trip into your dreams is interesting as shit. unfortunately most ppl don't remember 90% of it.

my dreams I always have the "crew" of friends I had back in grade 7 and 8...I just figure those were the funnest times of my life...its weird because I dont even know where most of them are right now but in my dreams they are still with me

mine often take place in the same almost completely imaginary places, so often i know the bus and transit routes practically by heart. even the wider geography, (and transportation between towns, which in some i'm employed by, and in others frequently commute on), which is considerably differently arranged from this universe we're awake in. parallel universes occur to me, because the differences are ones that would have resulted had cultural development gone different ways, that they very reasonably and easily could have.

I like keeping record's of my dream's as well, and of course telling people about them is a handy thing to do too I think. I was looking up dream interpretation before and came up with a few...

    http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=river

    Hallway
To see a hallway in your dream symbolizes self exploration. It is the beginning of the path that you are taking in life. You are going through a transitional phase and journeying into the unknown. It also signals spiritual enlightenment, emotional growth physical prowess, new opportunities and mental passages in your life.

    Market
To dream that you are in a market represents some emotional or physical need that you are currently lacking in your life. You may be in need of nurturance and some fulfillment. Consider the specific items that you are shopping for. Alternatively, the market signifies frugality.

    Hiding
To dream that you are hiding suggests that you are keeping some secret or withholding some information. You may not be facing up to a situation or dealing with some issue. However, you may be getting ready to reveal something and confess before somebody finds out. In particular, to dream that you are hiding from some authority figure (police, parent, teacher...) implies feelings of guilt.

    Amusement Park
To see or be in an amusement park in your dream indicates that you need to set some time for more relaxation and enjoyment in your life. The rides, booths and elements in the amusement park are an expression of some aspect of yourself or some area in your life. Look up the symbolism of specific rides for more details. Alternatively, the dream indicates that you are too easily distracted lately.

    Underwater
To dream that you are breathing underwater represents a retreat back into the womb. You want to return to a state where you were dependent and free from responsibilities. Alternatively, breathing underwater is analogous to being submerged in your own emotions.

    Fox
To see a fox in your dream represents insight, cleverness, cunningness and resourcefulness. Perhaps the dream is telling you that you need to exhibit more of these qualities in your waking life. Or that you need to conceal your thoughts and be more discrete about some situation. Alternatively, seeing a fox in your dream indicates a period of isolation or loneliness.

    Chase
To dream that you are being chased signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.

    They seem quite accurate :)

The past few nights i have seen a girl with one large dreadlock standing just far enough away for me for me to be unable to make out any definitive detail about her. Im so fucking confused about it. One of those what the fuck type dreams, the weird thing is that its repetitive. 99% of my repetitive dreams either make sense right away or can be analyzed fairly easily.

i've had many dreams where i'm specifically at my grandmother's home although the dream theme is varied...i dream of places that are totally alien to me, as well as the people in them, but in these dreams i seem to be trying (in vein) to find something i've misplaced or asking for directions to somewhere adjacent to my dream setting-f*cking strange-. when i wake, i feel so disoriented...anyone else dream like this?

my dreams are not symbols. they are places i enjoy visiting and exploring. they are not consistent with places in this universe, rather they are consistent with each other within their own.

if this is unlike the dreams humans dream, then perhaps my soul is of some other origin.
