Ignorant Views On Weed.

Alot of people against marijuana will almost certainly call someone who smokes a stoner, or a pot head, and has made many presumptions before ever getting to know the person. Even people that will smoke on occassion, or weekends can be lumped into the group. Ignorant pricks. But that person who drinks every night has nothing wrong with them. They aren't out half the night driving drunk, smoking doobies while driving through your neighborhood park, pissing away their income, ruining their health, getting in drunken fights and driving in your parents lawn to hit your stupid bird bath. Naw, that guy isn't an alcoholic, his poison is alright for him....

So many people just allow stereotypes to shape their opinions. And cannot make critical thinking a reality.

Dude... quit your fucking whining.. they are lumping you into a stereotype of something you DO.. be happy you're not black, middle eastern, mexican, asian, etc.. where they are stereotyped for the color of their skin.. not what they may or may not do.. its life.. fucking deal

 

I am not just realizing the issue. I am venting on the fact that it is fucking up the people that want to smoke weed legally because they don't believe the fucking shit propaganda that has been going on for far too long. Alcohol is clearly a worse intoxicant, and so many people say just legalize weed. But those people who want to make money off it's illegal status and strike fear into those people who are glad to have the government do their research for them are fucking taking away from the very freedoms we should be enjoying.
It amazes me that I could smoke a bowl everynight, before I go to bed, minding my own business, and I am seen as a worse threat to society. As your dumb friend just bought a keg for a frat party that is supposed to have all the freshmen bitches there. Oh, yeah, it's cool for the alcoholics to just boast and drink to their livers and kidney can't excrete waste though.

there are none so blind as those who will not see, none so deaf as those who will not hear.

its unjust, but it is the way of it. there are functional marijuana users, and there are functional alcoholics. the misinformation is pervasive, and people do not want to hear that its not as bad for you, etc. they want to believe what they believe, what they have been told. let them drink their livers into disease, we all choose the risks we take. the prejudice against pot is unfair, but "fairs are for tourists, kid."

 

I don't smoke, but I do wonder why alcohol and tobacco get a free pass while weed is treated like it's up there with crack and meth.

Judging from experience meeting real pot smokers, not what I've been told, it seems some people just like to use it to relax, some artists seem to actually work better on it, even some more traditional jobs do. But there are some people who get too into it and end up doing nothing. I don't really consider that damning, people end up doing nothing because they drink, smoke, eat, watch TV, masturbate, play video games, or whatever else too much too. And out of those I'd say it's TV that most of the acomplishment-less people I've seen overindulge in, second would be drinking. So I don't know why weed gets the treatment it does.

so before you start assuming people who don't like weed to be 'pricks' - remember, you instead maybe be exactly that for smoking it

I love seeing level headed people around here. Oh yeah, it's the stoner's lounge . Truly, most smokers I know that aren't the rare burn outs, are doing just fine in society. But why the hate from some directions still. I don't want to change other's views as much as I want people to just rationally look at things.

 

I really wasn't calling all drinker's alcholics. But if I was, I was unclear, and I am sorry. I was an alcoholic, I see the topic at a pretty stone-cold realization. I just wanted to basically capture the same hate and turn it around. Kind of like wanted to arouse and imitate those that are ignorant. and those "pricks" are the ignorant people, not those that simply don't like weed.

Alright. I got you. But I am in Michigan where there are alot of legality issues going around the Medical Marijuana here. Alot of people still with bias trying to make their points.

 

It doesn't matter what people call you or what they think of you, just or unjust. It is what you see yourself as and how you feel about yourself. You should be proud of yourself to have kicked the alcohol, I admire you that you could do it.
I do see you point and I wish they would make it a legal drug. We could sure use the extra money they spend to fight it and the extra revenue on the taxes to spend elsewhere, maybe give the disabled and the ones on social security what they deserve, but people will still be called a pot head just as they still call people drunkerds, they are just names and nothing more.

 

I just wish I could trade my father on the black market for some good kush - but I hear elderly white men, even if they have blue eyes and are in excellent health, there is just NO market for nowadays

too bad a majority of pot smokers are not the poster child for anything that would provide the push needed to get towards any sort of legalization.. but if you wanna continue to just smoke pot and tell people to fuck off because they dont agree with your views.. then you're better off shitting in one hand and wishing for legalization in the other.. and see which one fills first.. this fight needs a lot more educated people than the army of burnouts who believe that there is no harm in marijuana...

Giant Eagle wine kiosks have also recently become available in Pa. walmart says no to getting them.. thats cool, cause I dont shop in walmart . :2thumbsup:
