Sorry I haven't written in a while but I've been busy dealing with sciatica and making a living. I've also been thinking about writing some stories for the book (thought I have to check the statute of limitations on some of the things I did for the Family). Still flying high off my visit to the OCF and seeing, and partying, with old friends. Sounds crazy but I haven't taken off the admission bracelet yet (I'm hoping it lasts untill I get there next year). We/I need a family reunion and I want to see one happen soon. I HOPE THIS FINDS YOU ALL IN GOOD HEALTH AND HIGH SPIRITS. Stay that way until I see you soon.

I want to apologize for offending you with my personal attack on Kenny. It was not meant to attack him and I am sorry if anyone felt it was, especially you, Kenny. You did show your true colors in your last reply to me. And sh/nailcakes put me in my place. Thank you for that.

I was not complaining that I was not given access to the site where the book is contained. I totally understand that. I even stated that the first time Kenny posted that he would not be able to give me the site. I just did not like the way Kenny later cut and edited my messages to, what seemed to me was to suit his own purpose to make me look like a whiny little Bitch. Well maybe I was whining. Sorry.

In so far as Ranger having no memory of any of the Vega brothers' or Harmonica Leroy's women "standing out", well that is because they all were working, the majority of them as hookers. Me as a snotty little nurse at the hospital on Fell Street. I was also going to school and traveling much of the time. So yes, I was not terribly memorable to any of you folks. But I can assure you that I did many things on behalf of the GE. I was always sending pots of soup and homemade breads to the houses via Billy or one of the GE members who would come to out house. I just did not have time to socialize too much. Wish I had. I try to do that more these days.

One time a guy named George Maldonado (I am REALLY asking myself WHY I can remember HIS name and not the names of so many faces I can see but not names I can remember!), a narc came to the GE to defect from the SFPD. He was brought to our 4th house in the Sunset (Billy & I moved a lot). When I arrived home, the Little Somebody guy I keep asking you all about was at my front door with the house's stash in a couple of duffle bags. He told me that they were moving it because of this Maldonado narc guy was at the GH House on Oak and the SFPD might raid the place. This was a usual occurrence, especially when we lived on Page & Clayton. In fact we would often go slash the PD cars with screw drivers. Anyhow, when this little guy (His name was either Little Steve or Little Darrel and he was small) and Sedonia and I got upstairs, here was sitting the guy, George Maldonado with Billy & Ronnie Vega watching the news on TV where George Maldonado was being interviewed about his activity as a narc. Anybody remember that????

So anyway, I knew about Ranger being sick and kept asking about what was up with him on this forum. True I was not on it for awhile but I asked when it was stated that Ranger was critically ill and I was ignored. Months later, I asked and someone answered that he was recuperating (thank God because even if Ranger does not remember me, I remember him).

I am intermittently online for prolonged periods and offline for prolonged periods. That's because I am out of the country for extended times as I have a daughter in the Philippines with 3 grand daughters. My daughter has been ill for a year now. My husband was diagnosed with incurable cancers (lymphoma and leukemia) in early 2008. At one point he was given 2 weeks to live but a miracle occurred and he is alive and kicking. Still has the cancer and becomes very sick on and off so I get involved in that and am unable to go online as often as I would like. He just completed his 2nd course of chemo in July and he had surgeries earlier in the year. I'm just getting back online a lot again. So I hope that explains my absence from the forum.

Everyone has problems. We live on $600 a month and our rent is $900 plus for the past 3 years we have been paying over $700 a month for medical insurance because obviously we need that. Our savings is practically gone but it is too much to get SSI or Medicaid. Not one soul has helped my husband and I. I do not expect that. So to judge me because I did not send money for Ranger is somewhat unfair. If I even had the slightest idea that a collection was being taken up for Ranger, however, I most certainly would have contributed even if I myself am always in dire straits. I do not give a shit about money in any way shape of form. I did not know. I remember Ranger fondly and if you found me unremarkable and submissive, there is nothing I can do about that. I find it ironic though, because I had the same impression about the women of the GE, that they were shadows of the men in the commune, except that I felt that most were loud and obnoxious most of the time which does not make a person a woman vs a girl or not submissive. What we do with our lives makes us what we really are.

As in all probability most of you, I have had a very full life these past 40-some years including adopting and raising 4 kids from the Philippines whose mother joined the New People's Army, becoming a grandmother to 10 as well as the death of Billy & my daughter, Sedonia and my son, Sam being sent to prison in Georgia for a crime he did not comitt. I would not trade my experiences for anything, that includes the GE. All the folks I met there have good hearts if you ask me and as we know it's just my opinion. Please let me say for the record that I have never had and never will bear any grudge toward anyone in the group. I just wish I could remember names. That was my main reason for wanting to read the stories others wrote. When I read on the forum the 3 management folks talking about reading it and from what Ranger told me, I thought it was understood that whomever was writing for the book would have access to the site. This was exciting to me because I figured I'd finally be able to remember some names. I misunderstood this from the very begining. Please excuse me. I tell you truly, I am not a trouble starter nor would I try to run the show sh/nailcakes said she feels I would. I am sorry if I gave that impression. But I do I have opinions like everyone else. BTW, I also have an asshole. Maybe I AM an asshole????

I hope you all will excuse my being loud and obnoxious here. I regret rocking the boat and am genuinely remorseful.

I will look forward to buying your book when it is published and even more so reading it.

Hi Saro I am in a little place in Borrego Springs going over to Salton sea Tommorrow.

Just wanted to maybe add some insite to the lymphoma your Husband is fighting. I also have lymphoma NON HODGKINS tho and I am in a remissed state and I attribute it to a few things two being that I would not do chemo NOR radition!! BUT lastly I drink Theebo Tea DAILY at least 6-8 cups and stopped all refined sugars no sodas etc. Go to the The Theehebo tea Club and it may blow you folks away and it may just help your Husband

So glad you droped by. It's good to see you. I do hope you decide to write some stories for our book. I'd like to see that pic you posted in here when you first arrive, as a photo beside your stories. I think that would be cool if we all had our old hippie pic to show who we were. Altho some may not have any pics from back then. I dont have any except for the one Larry Keenan took of me n my friend Patty on Haight Street in 68'. Maybe someone took some that I dont recall..lol.. I hope it aint one of me dancing on the table at Underhouse, or maybe I do muuhahahaha

I have been writing a little, two stories this morning. Not long ones but with two of them it make about the same as one long one.

There is so much that happened in my life I just cant seem to find a good ending and the beat goes on and leads right into another event in my lured past..lol and I aint got to the real good stuff yet..lol

I hope you are enjoying this. I would not put such racy stories out for anyone else. I hope they help sell the book. Sex sells. ( no nude photos plz.. hahahaha) A few nudies wouldnt hurt sales tho..

I never could spell worth a flip, altho I thought I caught all the misspelled ones as I read the paragraphs over. Spell check sometimes chooses words that do not fit the sentence or match the word. Like Haight, it does not reconise Haight. There are others too. Me and spell check has gone to the mat before, esp with nicknames.

All the red lines that show up on the page is very distracting so I do not use it as you can plainly tell. I have been trying to explain more as the story unfolds as to what this or that means in lay terms, understandable lingo for them that do not know hippie slang. That also takes me off my thought wave frequency, something I have to work on I suppose. Unless we use a defination page that has all the meanings of the words we used in our communication.

I hope I'm not burning you out with so many stories about stuff that I experinced, it's all leading up to hooking up with good earth. That's when things really, really get into deep rivers.

Please turn OFF the Spell Check if it will inhibit your flow of your thought and your writing. Throw it out. It gets fixed by us later.

You can turn off the spell check red lines in Word. Please do.
On the Top of the screen where in reads "File" "Edit" "View" it also reads "Tools" Use the "Tools" pull down. Select "Spelling and Grammar …"

Good. This opens the Spell Check box. Look at the bottom of this box. A bottom button Reads "Options…" click it.

New box with options opens up. Put a Check Mark in the Check Box in order to Select - Hide spelling errors in this document.
Click "Okay" and close the new Options box up.

Then close up the Spell Check Box. Click on (Cancel).

All of the red lines should go any. YOU WIN! LOL

I'm doing definition for the IN Story "hippie slang" in aside boxes. Look at them.

Zev, I really want to start to hook up with you on making this stuff all happen.

For instance, Ranger made a statement that he thought that he had heard that they had changed the statue of limitations within the Patriot Act. Could that be?

Also. The concept of a confession. Is a story in a book usable? Like for 40 years ago.

What I'm concerned about is Sales.
Folks have been caught and the court room is over and done with, but in many instances no one was ever changed with sales. Lack of evidence.

My solution is that I've taken an Evasive Writing Course. LOL
But have know real clue on these two subjects.

I mean, how ever can we write about sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll? What's a hippie to Do?

We have the expensive book design software already and we use it.

I went out of my way to not remember folks I didn't need to and then mostly by code name for biz reason a thing I hope you understand being Billy 'Grandberry's' wife.

As to the women of the Nasties and GE when I was with the Crisis team for Switchboard and when we started the Haight St. Fair for bwhich I ran the security I tried to always have at least one of our women on the team and I trusted them with my back/life as much or more than many of the guys when dealing with an armed crazy.

re statute of Limitations For most offenses (six years) the statutes have passed if you stayed in CA. The question arises for those who did not stay there. In NY if you oeave the state FOR THE PURPOSE OF AVOIDING PROSECTION the statute is tolled, while you are gone.However the question that I have to reasearch is what happens in CA, Also what happens if you are in and out of the state. I am looking in to it and will post my results.
