My boyfriend just got out of he hospital for a fracture in the eye socket, two sprained shoulders, and a a sprained. they gave him 50 mg tramadols. he has dabbled in opiates but he is not a regular user. how many should he take? I know I posted this in another thread but I need it answered soon.
Did you not get my response: Take 150mg to feel a great high (equiv. to 10mg Oxycodone) as well as good pain relief.
Other than the fact that Tramadol releases Serotonin and Norepinephrine, the mu opioid agonism is the same, equipotently. I personally find the equivalence I stated to be true. 150-200mg Tramadol feels like a 5-10mg Oxycodone, with the addition of some mild side effects from the SERT and NET potentiation.
Contrary to what people may say, Tramadol gets you high... It's scedhuled now. I used to have a problem with them. 200 mg is enough to get a good buzz going really.
Tram is addictive! Highly addictive and here is why. It is only one molecule (even though in chemistry terms that can be a lot), never the less ...is only one molecule variation from a full blown opiate. Because of this one molecule, they came out saying it is a non addictive pain killer, safer than real opiates. If it quacks Like a Duck, It's a Duck. If you are taking it recreationally, as with any opiate, don't be stupid and get addicted.
didn't the doctor give him directions with the tramadol? You know, "take two every four hours?" or something like that?
