I keep reading that people are takin like oxycontin 80s on top of other shit, or that takin 30s wont do anything unless u take a bunch. Do these people have like a psycho tolerance? when i was doin oxy and vicodan and herion and shit back in march, i wouldnt dare touch a freakin 80, i was takin like 4 perc 5s and gettin rocked for hours, and the most i ever did of herion at once was like 70mg, and that was after doin it for like a week everyday. recently i took some hydrocodone/homatropine syrup, and i took a max of 25mg of hydro. back in march i was doin the shit like every day for a month and never really got a tolerance build or withdrawal symptoms, how are people takin so much?
Opioids build a tolerance so fast that you would have to experience it to believe it, honestly. I read a journal article that said one can go from 10mg of Morphine taking care of their pain, to needing 80mg of Morphine for the SAME pain relief in only ONE MONTH. That is insane, but true. So, the people taking like 100+mg of Oxy per day aren't like "Super-Duper High" or anything. They feel the same that you would feel from 20mg of whatever. It is one of the (surprisingly few...) side effects of opioids that make their addiction so hard to counter. I firmly believe that if the tolerance didn't build like it does, that opioids would be used for MANY more applications, such as treating depression and other mental ailments.
well ihave been on opiates for 9 years and my tolerance is rediculous.most people would die with just 1 day of my meds.i dont even feel anything when i take my meds.in a good day my pain is a 5,on most days its between 8-10. if you want to see my doses read the thread i just wrote about what the hype of i.v dilaudid
haha yeah well im surprised i never developed a tolerance, im not at all exagerating when i said i did opiates multiple times every day for a month, the first few days vicodan, then percs for a few weeks, and the last two weeks i did at least 3 hits of heroin every day. no tolerance and no withdrawal symptoms. and yeah ripped thats the post that a read before i posted this lol
Well I was on prescribed high doses of opiates daily for about 5+ years and my tolerance naturally went way up,,using for a month, will not really get your tolerance up that high like taking a precribed dose of 3 -40mg OC's , 30mg Methadone, and so on a day for 5+ years, plus I was on everything from Demerol,Fentanyl Patches, MSContin 100 mg , etc..Even beore I was prescribed opiates for everyday use, I would wake up in the morning and have to take 4 -10 mg norcos, and 4 Somas to start my day, as well as a few 1mg Xanax..Later came the heroin and so forth..You are lucky to have only done opiates for a month and not gotten mentally addicted and then keep using and get phisicaly addicted to opiates,,I know people that had to take 4- 80 mg OC's a day plus 4-6 10mg Percocets to just feel normal and not sick, much less high!!
When it comes to tolerance I found that I could eat whole OP 80s no problem but when I came across old OC and snorted em I would get high off 20mg. Must have something to do with the time release mechanism as well as the ROA.
The night before I gave in and got set up with suboxone, I took 4 OC 80's, 6 30's and around 175mg of Methadone while wearing a 50mcg Fentanyl patch. I sold two of my most important posessions for that night, and I was back to square one the next morning.
the magic rock (superheroes) gave me an idea for a thread focusing on stories of to what extent some of us have gone through to achieve a high- mostly maintaining, lol'd- and what the consequences were. i would contribute but don't know if anyone else will, let me know what you guys' think.
They're junkies. People who take multiple grams of heroin in a day, handfuls of OC80's..... they've burned out their shit, not to mention they make no endogenous opioids to speak of, anymore. like etkearne said, they're not higher. Or even high. Just very sad wastes of life. Those are the sort who will never be clean without fiending all day. And the sort who don't have the will to try anyway.
why take the time post such a biased response in the opiate forum? there are alternative ways in which you could have answered devoid of the negative terms you employed. for the record: time clean can help repair the neurological stimuli one has "burned out". "anymore" was an ignorant term for you to use.
