Make a thread stating that... give a general indication of what you are looking for. If someone has what you want to offer and they think you are real, will actively participate, and be a positive experience (according to their standards), they will get in touch with you.

If you don't want to be that public about it, find places online and send them a message, stating who you are and why you are interested in their place, and find out when (and this is by far the most important part) you can go visit them in the next couple of weeks.

If this is something that you want to do, sometime in the future, when you get around to it, when you finish 'x', or when the stars align in a particular manner... Don't waste their time until you are actually ready to go and visit in person.

Especially at this time of year.

I am thinking of joining one, but the problem is I have no idea what I'd be doing or getting into.

A feww ppl are set on making a old rundown farm a paradise near Minden hills with the whitewater preserve & the best off-roading trails around plus lots of other cool stuff.
We want to start an organic heirloom produce garden & a large mushroom farm in the bush, i'm not sure about live stock yet. Anyone want to become part of this should kno I'm Ryan an i'm 26, Nate is only 20 but is almost finished college, so is Devon, Ashlynn & Denyse. MY friends Phillips & Rob want to but don't think they really dig the whole eco-friendly, hippie stuff or the politic's that bring us to T.O. or Ottawa 20 times a year to protest, but everyone is on their own trip and i don't expect ppl to be an Atheist or far-left anti-government intellectuals

Sounds promising. I'd like to try mushrooms in the basement. It's naturally cool and damp down there. Never really thought I could grow shrooms?

The festival idea sounds really cool. Lots of farms have branched out to other activities like harvest and Halloween themed events.

LOL, north of 6th line is rural enough for me. How far north are you in Ontario i don't want to go any further north cuz of farmers markets and growing conditions here in the Kawarthas or Minden which i love.

Putting the mushroom bales under thick trees or under shaded greenhouses is the way to make money, but u could grow lots of psilocybin mushrooms in a basement
