It's not that America shouldn't be in Afghanistan. Our mission is a good one. However, we can't afford the war and we dont even have the stones to fight it as we should. 140,000 troops is far from enough; we have commitment phobia.

That's the problem with the country now. We try to have both extremes. We want to look nice and not kill one civilian, but we refuse to loose.

If we want to win we need to do ugly things. If we don't want to do ugly things that will be on the news and will be used as anti-US propaganda, then lets GTFO today.

And for those who think special forced isn't protecting US citizens, think again. You never hear bout 99.9% of the stuff they do, in dozens of countries. People do want you and me dead.

W/e fuck America if we dont turn around soon we're going the way of Rome and Babylon.

i am always skeptical about the potential for good being accomplished militarily. i don't mean that it can't be, but the economic motivations driving forign policy i don't see how they arn't more likely to create problems then solve them

if these is some good thing being accomplished there by any military presence, i'm at a loss to comprehend or even imagine what it might be.

Approx. 6,171/day is the U.S. average....ie One death every 14 seconds,
with our birth rate we have a net gain of one person every 10 seconds.
We won't ever run out of soldiers....or politicians willing to sacrifice them.

 

I read in Nexus magazine that it was reported in the Arabic media that Bin Laden had died from renal failure December 2010.
