upon first glance i believed it to be lemon balm because of the shape of some of the leaves, but upon closer inspection its not. It looks very familiar but the name is on the tip of my tongue. Its not basil in my opinion.
LOL - yes it is....it is basil. Sweet basil. If you are not familiar with the raw plant, you might not recognize it as such by the odor, which is quite good (I think, anyway). It is basil.
^^^ U R silly! Please, please don't even start that, white dove.lol...this poor child will never know! Besides which - rosemary and lavender can look alike; but neither will ever look like basil, never! Lemon balm can look similar to sweet basil; but only in the beginning. Basil has a more tender leaf; and if you have EVER smelled "raw" basil, a person wouldn't ask that anyway. :mickey:
I grow Oregano everyyear, just as easy as basil IMHO. It's definitely basil, not the common basil you get, mabe Greek Basil ???
It seems to be a herb and it is very difficult to identify the types of herbs. It looks like Basil. You can identify basil it has smooth, bright green leaves with no serrations on the edge. Brush the leaf and if it smells distinctive scent then its basil
Oh that was nice to know:watchplant:. Acmella Oleracea Tooth Ace Plant is a flowering herb. Its leaves and flower heads contain an analgesic, antifungal, anthelminthic, and antibacterial agents used to numb toothaches. Actually this type of plant is grown as an ornamental in various parts of the world.:2thumbsup:

Wait a minute . . . I've seen this before. Oh no! Run, run for your life if you have a chance! Ever see the film "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"? Remember those strange looking plants, with the mysterious giant "seed pods" . . . plants from another planet, with a sinister agenda . . . Looks like one of those alien pod-plants to me . . . but I digress
