Hello all, I am a new user to the site. I have been self medicating for years, as an insomniac and social anxiety sufferer. Now that legalization is finally progressing, and I am older then I once was, I have taken a serious interest in studying marijuana prices, effects, uses etc etc. Mainly, I want to create a thread here where people can debate everything stoner related. Is it better rolled up, or in a pipe? Is hydro better the organic? etc. I wanted to start this mainly to gather some information. I'm a study junkie you could say. To start off, I wanted to find out what the average type, quantity, price, and usage methods are of some other users. I plan to record my findings, so that I can have a more thorough statistic listing, to better help my (soon to be) local shops educate their customers. I currently live in Central America, where access to marijuana is easy, however prices and quality suffer, as the best product is in fact exported. However, I do plan to leave here soon, and hope to go back to school in a Pot Friendly state. I have done some research on marijuana licenses, and I honestly think they are a great idea. In summation, I want to promote medical marijuana on an active basis, and I need the information to really make a difference. I will be posting regularly, so I would love to discuss all of this with you all in the future. The first topic, like I said, will be "average type, quantity, price, and usage methods" so please, put your information in a response and thank you for your time. P.S. I'm from the central pennsylvania area and I've been smoking for about two years. The strain i have seen most of is probably super silver haze, although only a couple of times because so many strains come through. I usually only pick up cuts or quarters at a time, though I do have many friends that will pick up ounces at a time. A gram of heads will usually run you 20 dollars around here. Most often, herb is smoked out of pipes or bongs. Joints are scarce around here, as everyone seems to own and enjoy their piece more than a joint or blunt.
Plus is pa we are to broke and lazy to go to the store and get a blunt/joint when we got our pipe right in our night stand lmao....No I like Joint and shit but it is also a waste and around here good tree is to hard to come by and to expensive to waste.... some one tried to sell me home grown for 30 a gram the other day....Fuck that i'd rather mids that where not grown in someone's back yard.
The quality of weed as well as the price depends on where you live, the type of weed you buy such as : commercial or Mexican brick- low grade stuff,lot of seeds and stems compressed into a brick.Sells for $30 an Ounce in Southern texas to $100+ an Ounce in other places, I avoid this weed as it is not worth smoking for me..next is mid grade weed, almost always sinsemilla aka no seeds from a non polinted female plant.Can be grown indoors or outdoors and quality and potentcy vary by strain and grower, It is in Memphis,TN about $1200 per pound of BC indoor mid grade sinsemilla aka Beasters by some..High grade outdoor and indoor, aka KB,nuggs,headies chronic etc..depends again on the strain and grower as to quality and potentcy, but I smoke mostly local indoor soil grown high grade the growers use high pressure sodium grow lights mostly or metal halide, In Memphis a 1/4 oz. (7 grams) of high grade stuff sells for $100-120 per 1/4 oz..and $300-400 an Oz..I know a number of indoor and a few outdoor growers very well, so I get an Ounce of White Widow a potent strain for $250 for 30 grams..street price for 28 grams would be around $350-400+ in Memphis for the same weed..It all comes down to the grower and the strain of weed as to how good it will be, had outdoor sinsmilla I bought for $40 for a 1/4 oz that was actually much stronger than some $100 per 1/4 ounce Northern Lights someone bought in another city! The northern lights was good stuff, but it was not 1/2 as good as the outdoor stuff I paid $40 for a 1/4 oz. of, so that goes to show you it's Who you know, get to know growers ,etc..as far as price and potentcy are concerned.
