I am not a deadhead, I am not even all that aware of the Grateful Dead's work (though I want to be); but I'd have to say Alabama Getaway so far

Ahh...Bird Song and Wharf Rat! Luv em! How do they go from ripping songs like Dark Star, Eleven to slow floating time like Wharf Rat or Row Jimmy????!!!!!
I luv the imagry in that song. Hunter was a master lyricist. I could read Dead songs all day long.
They would never play that ! WTH? My buds and I had a blow up alligator floating around the crowd at a Louisville show hoping Jerry would get the hint. No luck.

The last Chicago show (i think) Jerry's belting it out, voice cracking and breaking adn he's still trying to hold the note's singing SOOOOO MANY ROOOOOAAAADS.... so beautiful, sad, kills me.
