to say you fail to see it means it's there, but you don't see it. it's there for other people, but not you. you fail.
Not at all. One man's trash is another man's treasure. One man's treasure is another man's trash. I could say that your statement is a folly of your own ego; you could say that this statement is a folly of my own.
so you could just as well say i'm absolutely correct. look up fail in the dictionary. to say you fail means you fail.
Something about naked audience.. Nope, still can't get anything out of it. Indeed, perhaps the statement is there for others but does it mean I fail or that the artist has failed? If somebody could explain to me the statement, the meaning, the motivation then I could make amends for my failure. The pictures would really be the same to me if the people were clothed. PERHAPS THAT'S THE STATEMENT? I don't know, I really can't see the merit in most of photography. There was a time when everyone who wanted to produce an image would have to put some effort into it, not just position people and press a button.
i understand what context is, thank you. use language more carefully. to say you fail means you fail. its not careful language to say what you meant the way you said it.
I shouldn't have to be careful; you should be able to debate without resorting to semantics. (I could have gotten you quite well on the faulty logic shown here, if I took your wording strictly: ) It would be one thing if you misunderstood me; but we both know what each other meant; this has just eroded into pettiness and pointlessness. And if that was your goal; I must admit defeat.
it's important to be careful with language. be my guest if you will it's more correct to say it would be one thing if we misunderstood eachother... you go from saying you in one part of the sentence to we in the next part. so you really can't admit defeat. you played right along
If I do; then I am lowering myself into the very semantics that you held against me, when I was trying to have a more ideological debate.. But it sure is tempting to beat you at your own game. I suppose I shan't; cause I already lost the technical debate, but I can keep some integrity (to myself, mind you) if I keep restraint. We were playing by different rules; but semantically, technically, as you are speaking; you have won. Twice, even.
