Best place to set up camp in British Columbia for the summer?

I was thinking a hippy place where I can grow some weed, hangout make bomb fires have hippy sex etc..

any good places you people have in mind?

 

Van Island. Lots of chills places.

 

hhahaha I have the same aspirations,aside from growing

 

the city of Nelson is run on the growing of weed.. So much fun.

 

any other towns on Vancouver Island, or elsewhere in BC

 

Weed can be and is pretty much safely grown all over bc. And most of bc is pretty chill. But the further north you go the more redneck the people get. Which makes it not that good of a place for hippie like people. So I advise to stay away from Prince George and surrounding area. But everywhere else is pretty great.
Well I've had bad experiences around the Thompson river area aswell. Kamloops/Merritt. And horrible weed aswell

As in most of British Columbia, the only thing topping the welcoming and pleasant attitude of the locals is the off-the-charts scenery.

 

so many places dude sunshine coast, gambier island, bowen island so many places on van island to many to name but mudge is one were there are no cops, and north of horse shoe bay is fantsitc camping area beside bears...

 

I'm an aussie staying in kelowna for the summer, i love it here! i love canada, you guys/gals are great!

 

The rock tub is high and large, reached by a ladder from the bear grass covering the beach, with scalding hot water that cascades down the mountainside into the tub area. The tub, filled with a hose, is cooled off after a couple of hours.

 

Gulf islands, the more remote. The better.anywhere on the coast really

 

somewhere on the gulf islands. some of them don't even have roads and have populations of 50 or 100 people. everything's connected by trails, and the communities are largely self reliant. needless to say there's a lot of growing those goes on there. i know someone who lived her first 18 years there, and seriously didn't know until she left that weed was actually illegal.

If you visit the Gulf Islands, just make damn sure you know and obey the fire regulations concerning your "bomb" fire. If the fire chief tells you to put it out, put it out. We don't want some stoned tourist burning our island down.
