I remember a few dreams from years ago.

1: I was in a submarine and it was near swarming with monsters. They looked a lot like the ones out of that disney movie "monsters" but a lot scarier. Eventually, I escaped the submarine only to find it was not in the water, but on land on these stilt things. I was on one in a group of dozens of submarines on stilts.

2: I had been having a lot of bad dreams, (keep in mind this was like when I was 7) and my mom told me that since it's all going on in your head, you can control them with willpower. She said that she can sometimes control her dreams. That night, I had a bad dream. Some mutant freak thing was chasing me, and while crossing a small bridge over a stream, I yelled "FREEZE!" hoping it to be imprisoned in a block of ice, and while I effected it, all it did was stand still for a few seconds before it sprung on top of me, trying to bite me, when I woke up.

3: I was in a dark alley. There was a man I think in a ferora or one of those detective-looking things. He pulled out a knife as he walked towards me, and slashed at me causing me to wake up.

    I will write more later.

4: The dream started of me waking up in my own bed. I thought I had just woken up for real. I got out of bed and started to walk around when I heard a strange noise. Nobody was in the house, my parents were gone as well as my brother. I felt a compelling force to explore downstairs, so I went into the basement. As I was in the farthest part away from the stairs, some glowing-red-eyed freaky monsters came down the stairs. I had a goddamn panic attack cause I thought it was all real, then, I woke up. Even more strange is, when I woke up it was like 3A.M., and that was probaly where I woke up in the dream.

5: I was in my own driveway, and something was chasing me. I couldn't tell what it was. I tried to run, but it was as if I had superglue on my shoes; I could barely walk. Somehow I made it to the street without being cought up to by the thing that was chasing me. As I got there, I started to float up. It was like swimming, only in air. I felt like I was about 10 feet up, and I would bob up and down by a few feet. It seemed to be holloween, many people in costumes were filling the streets. For some reason, they all gathered under wherever I flew and tried to grab me. I couldn't "fly" very fast, and I was pretty much trying to make sure I didn't dip low enough that they grabbed me. The dream continued of me floating around the block for like 10 minutes, then everything went back to the beginning of the dream. Once again I could barely walk when I tried to run. I made it to a neighbors house and busted in the door. I hid under a bed, and then I think whatever was chasing me found me. Thats the end of that dream.

6: I was dreaming, but nothing with any point whatsoever happened. I realized I was dreaming and walked to where a steep hill would be in real life. Knowing it was a dream, I jumped down it. For some reason I had enoguh momentum that I kept going foward, and instead of hitting the hill I didn't hit till the bottom. It was all in slo-mo. As I hit the bottom, I felt cramped. I woke up, and had a slight cramping feeling for a few moments.

A common element in the dreams 1-5 is the "fighting the monster" theme which I usually associate with an inner struggle between the conscious self and the unconscious urges and desires.
I will get back to you when I have given your dreams some thought.
Hmm dream #2, bridge, do I know you from another internet forum?

I doubt it, lol. I don't go on a lot of forums, and this is the first time using screen name "CrossingTheStar".

I interpreted some dreams involving bridges on another forum, it had nothing to do with your screen name.
If we cover the obvious freudian symbols first then a submarine from dream#1 is oblong (phallic) and usually belongs in the water which represents female sexuality, but it is on land. It is also a container representing the female sexual organs. The knife fight in dream#3 would represent intercourse.
Having said that I must say that I am no big fan of Freud, and I obviously can't conclude anything on the above, just a heads up on one school of thought.
In my opinion both the submarine and the stairs to your basement in dream#4 are entries to your deeper subconscious that you (imo) need to get in touch with to get new inspiration and ideas. In both cases the "monsters" prevent you from accessing these deeper levels of your mind.
The bridge from dream#2 could be part of that same symbolism, but I usually see bridges as passageways between different stages of life (like childhood-adulthood).
I hope this was a useful start.

1 you met the ghosts of salvadore dali and max ernst

2 the universe is not obliged to obey your commands. you can change things in dreams. not by stopping them but either morphing them or teleporting yourself to some other setting. sometimes you need an alie in your dream to distract another dreamshaper who may be harassing you.

3 you seek nearly impossible challanges. keep practicing. eventually you'll win.
