Our brains/minds cannot grasp the concept of what else there is, thats the beauty of life...we get glimpses and impressions through the use of psychedelics /shrooms/lsd/DMT etc etc. someone claiming to know the way is plainly full of shit.. believe in mother nature, believe in love, and lets all wander around in this life trying to figure it out together.... but idiots claiming they " know" the path is just wrong, its ruining it for everyone else trying to create their own path..

stop being a sheep, wake up stop following someone elses foot steps, and live your life, with your ideas, theories concepts... dont absorb propoganda and lies... open your eyes simply notice the issue.

im not saying no there isnt to ANYTHING... im saying i DONT KNOW.. and either do you... <3

once we all admit we dont know, boom... lifes sweet...

    peace brett.

What a sheep-like thing to say.

Your own brain playing tricks on you is not glimpsing into a world unseen by others.

    Pffffffffffff.

How else can one glimpse into a world unseen by others? Religion and philosophy has been pretty much used abused and trampled on by mankind for eons. Drugs are fairly new and undiscovered. Maybe the deepest parts of the oceans hold discoveries. Space is still to limiting.

i totally agree with you on people who believe they know the 100% truthful answer, then flip if you disagree. i especially like the "if you dont believe, your going to hell.' there may or may not be a hell, but in any case if everyone agreed to disagree on religion instead of fighting over it the world would be a much more peaceful place

the first step to understanding is admitting what we don't know ;) I'm sure that's a quote by someone :p

  15. He's right. We can't know. How do you know your brain sees the whole of what's there? All you can see is what you see, and what you can't...who knows. We're probably just amoeba as far we are aware of the entirety of reality.

I definitely agree with the sheep part, and also the idea that we don't "know" much for certain. My reservation is that there are some beliefs and practices that seem to be harmful--for example, sacrificing kids to Baal or Moloch (I know that's not common anymore, but there are counterparts, like training kids to be suicide bombers or beard-cutting Amish terrorists). I don't Know for sure they're wrong, but my personal experience, reason, and intuition tell me they are, and I think it's important not just to say "Well, I don't happen to believe that, but I respect your beliefs if they work for you."

when i see the moon i see an inert and impersonal reflector of light from an equally impersonal, though far from inert, source. it is a grey light, that lacks the beauty of color, but possess the majesy to mystique. it has now been visited by humans briefly several times. yet to be well explored up close and personal for any signifigant duration however. thus a sense of mystique. i would really like to see detailed mappings of the face it always turns away from us.

it does not particularly lead my mind to thoughts of belief, other then in rational objectivity.

I don't think its so much religion or even politics. I think that gets too much blame. I think it all comes down to the family. There's a lot of people with fucked up relationships with their family members, and I think that all geo-political problems manifest from our dysfunctional relationships with our parents and siblings.A lot of the appeal of fire and brimstone in religion comes from an emotional transference from the shitty way people perceive the world. Its really a symptom and not a cause. When someone really connects with a guy screaming about armegeddon and the end times and all the wicked sinners being punished, its really their hatred for the world and for people coming to surface. That hatred originates from somewhere, and I think it all stems from how they relate with people on a day to day level. In this way, I think looking at things in a macro-scale, like we tend to do, is kind of an illusion.
