Roseanne Barr Announces She Will Run for President!

    Roseanne Barr, the comedienne, has announced on the Jay Leno show that she will run for President of the United States. She says her top priority is to legalize marijuana! She also said she wants to abolish money and just use a barter system.

    Of course this all seems like hype for her new show "Rosanne's Nuts", which revolves around her home on the Big Island of Hawaii, where she raises Macadamia nuts and has an organic garden and is striving for self-sufficiency.

    Having lived in Hawaii, I do find the show interesting for the location and what she is trying to do there, live off the land. Of course her family isn't very funny, and neither is she, but her boyfriend is actually very cool and clear-headed.

    Being an adamant supporter of the end of prohibition, I find her bullshit rather insulting.

    She's setting a bad image for all of us.

    never thought she was very funny and therefore havent actually watched the show -- but it does sound an aweful lot like just tryin to hype up the show

    Yup, I remember it from the 70s, there was still food just falling off the trees. Huge avocados, mac nuts, mangoes, papaya, guava. Yummy! You can even pick your own coffee beans there (great Kona coffee). Of course in the 60s the marijuana could not be beat (still can't).

    Roseanne has a doctor's rec. for her medicine. Glad she's been so outspoken about legalization lately.

    I wonder if anyone bothered to warn her about the VOG... I was gonna move there until I realized it covers most of the island sometimes. Never know when Kilauea is gonna blow her top.

    I personally like roseanne more than some of the other superficial assholes that are on tv today. Roseanne represents the average everyday woman, I personally find her craziness to be funny and I relate to her, being a moody ass bitch myself :) But I don't vote anymore since that first bullshit George W. Bush election. Our votes don't count, they will put whoever they want into office. It's all set up and Obama is part of their game.

    Everyone once laughed at Jesse Ventura running for governor, yet now he is given lots of praise in Minnesota so maybe Barr will surprise us as well :)

    Same here. My son's mom is just like her. I gre up watching her and Dan. We still watch her shows all the time. She is brutally honest tinged with humour. I'd campaign for her. lol
