connecting car panels

i know this doesnt belong here, but im not sure where to put this thread, so im just throwing it in here. I've been disconnecting the panel beneath my steering wheel to keep my stash there, but i can't reconnect the panel the whole way. It's not much, but i can definitely tell the panel isn't all the way connected. It hangs like maybe a quarter of an inch from the top. Does anyone know how I can reconnect the panel the whole way?
