Is "ocala" a 'real' rainbow gathering?

Ocala is a town, a national forest shares the same name.

There is a rainbow gathering that happens there every year.

Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what family means or what rainbow is about.

Ocala is the biggest regional we have in the states. 1/4 of the kids that go to Ocala are full time rainbow gatherers all the time. at least 1/2 of the people that go to Ocala either go once a year, or it's thier first time. 1/4 of the kids that go to Ocala, are just homeless young folk who have nothing better to do.

At Ocala there is Main Circle, Front Gate and Back Gate, Parking, Water Runs, Trade Circle, and everything else.

Most other regional gatherings I've been to were missing at least a few of those elements...

How do you define a rainbow gathering if you say that Ocala isn't?

How can you claim "Peace" if you say that the people in the woods at Ocala aren't real family and that gathering isn't a real gathering?

ALSO, when is the last time you went to an Ocala Rainbow Gathering, and hung out with the Rainbow Family of the Living Light??????

My first gathering was Ocala, back when A-Camp was still a camp at most gatherings. I havn't been to a gathering where there was an actual "A-Camp" in a long time. Front gate is mostly people that I've been friends with for years now, and I know for a fact that they've changed the scene up there at the front, much for the better!!

i went this year and it was my first one in ocala, besides all the racial slurs and shit like that i had a blast. met a lot of people. loved turtle soup and camp iris

ocala is not the biggest regional, katuah summer solstice is the biggest, ocala is nothing but a a-camp gathering now a days.......

 

"Real" gathering? Come on. Even hippiedom has to be institutionalized now? People can't just gather under the banner of brotherhood anymore? What a sad, sad world.

 

A "gathering" is anywhere more than one brother or sister of the Rainbow are!
