WHY do people bid on something when it has more than a week left to go? Why bid something up to £20 when it's eBay value is around 50 and it has a week to go. WHY?! Who are you people?! Why do you do it?!
NAW you piss people like me off on stuff that regularly gets bid on i.e. stuff that has an ebay value of around £50
what is your problem with it, why does it get you pissed off? Sounds like you're just moaning about nothing or have never won a bargain on ebay. I've put a small bid on an item before because it starts sending me notification emails which i like to receive. Better than just watching the item.
most of them are fake accounts used to place a bid so the seller knows it will at least sell for a profit thats what I always assumed they were
Because they can, and why not ? They may have valid reasons, like being away from a computer when the auction finishes. And as trader I have to say I like early bids - at least you know you've sold something. What gets me is when an item has about 10 watchers and none of the bastards actually puts a bid in .
This forum is made for whining yes? That's what I was doing whining because yes it does piss me off, why? Because it puts the price up on an item which I want to get cheap. Yes I have gotten bargains before and yes of course you love early bids as a trader jeez.
I thought with a description of endless whining about nothing I might find some people who also get pissed off at people bidding items up excessively early. Apparently not. Delete this thread!!
Whether they bid early or late, the price still goes up. Maybe you ought to be whining about snipers who put in a bid at the very last second and do you out of what you thought was a bargain ? .
Because of the software that, "when you put in a bid, it automatically puts in the next highest bid", I don't even go to ebay anymore. Effectively, that software means I'm bidding against myself. And, that makes absolutely no sense at all. I may pay a bit more on Amazon, but there I simply buy it and be done with it. Ebay can kiss my grits.
That software does suck yes. I jus try to make sure I'm at the computer when it finishes and never bid until there's 5 seconds left. Bidding cause you might not be at the computer when it finishes is fine, but like a week beforehand, really?! p0ly are you sure you can't get email updates on an item without bidding on it?
This just handed to me: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on sale at eBay! http://autos.aol.com/article/chitty-chitty-bang-bang-for-sale/ /with a starting bid of $1,000,000 //it doesn't fly, but it's in running condition, they say *does anyone know how much money that is... I can't count that high..
I totally agree. I don't understand why people wanna make themselves pay more for something. If u bid early then ur gonna get outbid soon then they wanna bid again and make the item cost more than what it's worth. wtf?
all the thrill is when you get a bid in at the last second and screw someone who thought they had it lol
If you can be patient you can save a lot of money, which is what ebay is best for. Though you can also get screwed if your not careful. A smart shopper always looks around and waits for the best instead of buying the first thing you like.
