how would a guy go about starting a commune?

Hows it going everyone recently i have been putting alot of thought in starting a commune within the eastern shore maryland area and was simply wondering what all would i have to do to get this plan in motion

hahaha im serious man i just want a bunch of people to go in on a large plot of land with me there's plenty of open land in my area and im only 20 minutes from the beach this shit could work

I think the first step needs to be finding the people you want to commune with.

If you have nothing in common with the people who show up to join, it is going to be an unpleasant experience for all. On the other hand, if you have friends who share some of your goals and want to form a commune with you, it is going to go much smoother.

 

you might find the intentional communities website helpful. they have a directory and a lot of great info.

 

Id say the first step would be to BUY LAND

then find some people who want to work for free and live like outdoor hobos until they can scrounge up and steal enough materials to build some shelters to live like indoor hobos

 

we could just squat hahaha

 

well that wouldnt be a commune then...it would just be a bunch of people trespassing/camping on someone elses land
