i went to the doctors yesterday, and got my scripts refilled.... 130 10mg oxys and 60 10mg opanas, i asked for an increase to 3 a day on the opana but got denied but she ended up only giving me 10 more oxys for the month....since i see 2 doctors, its no big deal, cant blame a guy for trying....so she looks through the paper work and asks if i was still on the 800 mg ibuprofen i thought she was talking over the counter, but then remembered i got that script last time i was there and never got it filled....

so upon walking back to my truck, i check my scripts to make sure there were right, then it hits me, lol, i have a script for my opana, and 2 scripts for oxy 10 mg 130 quantity, lol, both identical, with signatures and all....so i played it safe and just got one filled and am hanging on to the other script....the question is when should i fill it....or should i get it filled and not go through my insurance????

My next appointment is on the 22 of august with that doctor, but i see the other one on the 5th so i dont really need to have the extra script filled, but would love to have it stashed away......i dont want to fill it and if they ask me about it at my next appointment i dont have the paper work, i dont want to ruin "X" amount of pills i will get from going there for ever how long for just and extra 130 beans ya know....

    thoughts???!!!!

You seem to have won the lottery!

You cannot use your insurance for the 2nd script- it would be denied and you would open a can of worms- you don't want to go there. Pay out of pocket at a pharmacy that doesn't have your personal data. You say you don't have insurance- script will be filled.

The one issue you need to think about is that as a schedule 2 medication- the state will have all copies of your "activities". I don't think 1 duplicate will bring the DEA to your door (they have bigger issues to devote their resources too)- but I wouldn't make a regular habit out of it. You hit the lottery-1 shot deal- enjoy

Agreed, you try and go through insurance, it wont work. Ive been there before. Insurance only wants to pay out the minimum they can. Do what darienguy said.

Fill the second script at a pharmacy not affiliated with the one you usually go to, and don't attempt to use insurance- it won't go through.

I recently had to do something similar with a Concerta script that I had left over from when I was switched to Vyvanse. However, my doctor knows I did it and 'approved' of it. It cost me $180.00, but it was worth it to ward off amphetamine w/d.

So, i did eventually get this extra script filled, the only problem that i had, is that its kind of a hard Rx to get filled, its not real common around here and is often back ordered from the manufacture. The only pharmacy i found on friday to have it was of course the one where i filled it originally which takes them out of the loop......so I started searching the mom and pop spots, and all the major stores that have pharmacies on them, walmart, target, giant, safeway and all them......not really and luck. Wake up monday morning with just 4 10mg oxys (no apap) with an appointment on tuesday to re up my big scripts. Withdraw was going to be close, i could have made it, but wasnt looking forward to it....

So with one final Google search, i realized that i didnt call one spot which is a pharmacy and medical supplies joint, I ALSO pass that bitch everytime i go to the doctors office, lol DUH, sure as shit, that had it, but only 109 of the 130, now they were able to get the rest by tuesday after lunch, dunno if it came from the manufacture or from their warehouse..... Now any other time if Rite-aid couldnt fully fill a narcotic script, they wouldnt allow you to get the rest at a later date, why?? i dont know.....plus this other spot was cheaper......but, i think i should atleast leave one or two spots without my insurance info just incase i get lucky like i did last time. Paid cash, in and out, now i got a nice little 110 pill stash!!!! First time i EVER had a stash like that......and they are all ready stashed, lol!!!!

amazing. I can't find anything decent and here you are having docs tossing extra scripts at you like there is no tomorrow. All I am looking for is one decent connect for something ... I can't even find that, if you are looking for a roomate lol .

hahahahaahahahah..........had a roomate when i was like 20-22, my best friend, and in the end its never worth it.....someone always gets taken advantage of, and it usually ends up fucking the friendship up, it did ours, not for ever, but a good year and a half to two years, things were not cool....

so, imma have to pass, lol thanks for the offer, lol
