Smoking some cannabis at the moment and when I smoke it's all fizzling like a freshly opened coke.

I mean, I've had stuff like this before, but not for a long while. What does it actually mean, obviously it's not possible to guess the specific reason without seeing it but doesn't it generally mean it's been sprayed with something either to increase weight or to potentiate it (i.e. a synthetic cannibinoid).

When I smoked a bowl of it the contents turned black and it didn't pull through down the pipe as it usually would as it didn't so much combust as char...(?!)

Pretty fucking high regardless but I don't wanna be buying harmful shit.

    Any knowledge much appreciated :2thumbsup:

I smoke some K2 or California Dreams when I just wanna chill by myself and listen to some Deadmau5. Sounds like what happens when I smoke either of those. The only way for you to tell for sure is if the high is different.

Usually the crackling comes from nutrients not flushed out, or also an improper cure :D

K2 / California Dreams is not weed.... has nothing to do with why his shit is crackling

Yeah I doubt very much that it's actually been sprayed with any RCs otherwise the guy would've been raving about it more or something. I mean he raved, but everyone does, and he didn't rave that much.

This weed isn't so good me thinks, read online that common adulterants are used to give shit weed a kick or make it appear like skunk. And that the 'extra kick' is that it's killing your brain cells.

That sounds awfully scare storyesque but at the same time, this weed, it is making my brain cells hurt a little. Think I'ma chuck it.

Or I dunno. I couldn't cook it could I, make cannabutter from it. Wonder if the adulterant would somehow not bind to the butter.

What sort of weed was it? Like good weed or mexican brick? The low grade stuff has all kinds of crap sparyed on it, what you are describing sounds like what I have seen on drit weed.

I dunno what type of weed it was apart from that it wasn't that good, got you very stoned - but likely not stoned likely something just light headed or something from the spray. And that I'm not getting it from that source ever again!!

Fair seems to have confirmed what I thought, could be anything there's all kindsa different shit they spray on it. Cheers.

one possibility is that its the flint powder from your lighter. if you flick your bic right above your bowl, the bowl can catch some of the unburnt flint (pretty sure its flint) from when you hit the striking wheel, when the flame touches the weed it ignites this flint powder and produces little sparks and some crackling.

of course most commonly its nutrients that weren't flushed from the plant before harvest. does the weed taste kind of gross and harsh in an almost chemically way?
