How do I debunk the stereotype image when people say hippies are anti-social , hate partying ,hate big house party , not into drinking or getting drunk.They just hang out with smaller number of people that smoke pot. Sorry I do not know any hippies
I didn't do a lot of that stuff in highschool because I was too paranoid from smoking pot with my friends.

Lodog's right. Opinions are like assholes; everyone's got one and they all stink. People like different things, think different things, feel, see, hear and imagine different things. Life's too short to spend it arguing over trivial differences between these things. I find it's best to just not give a shit about what other people think, say or do, unless you want to care.

I hate smoking pot, dress like a 40 year old, and don't belong to any cliquy groups, but I still hate house parties, I hate drinking and am 'antisocial' ( I take it you mean introverted). Does this mean I am a hippy??
OK, Guess I qualify as an old Hippie (65y/o) I hate alcohol, partying, big house partys, large gatherings of people (more than 5 qualifies as large for me) and prefer to smoke dope with a handful of friends. Does that help ya any? It's not that I'm antisocial so much as I just can't fuckin' stand being around people. and just why in gods name would you be interested in debunking such a wonderful set of qualities anyway. The people that I knew who liked all that shit were usually frat rats that grew up and became republican business men, child molestors and mass murderers. Not that theres anything wrong with scum like that.

Ass loads of people (social), keggers, wine, tons o' smoke, and very clean Trips. Ah, San Francisco. '73. Did you know that it is hard to live in a commune house with 6 other people or so, while being anti-social? :sunny: Just tell those people that they have no idea of what they are talking about. I use to go to 2 rock concerts every weekend back in 1969. Major ones. Everybody there was high and partying together. The only people who live like you describe are from the veggie yogi scene from later on back in 1979 and later where I live in the Santa Cruise mountains, in California. Those people hung by themselves, didn't party or drink or smoke much and all pretty much had attitude. So cool and like there shit didn't stink. anti-social. Be a hermit type of cool. Self Self Self. Hippies hang with their sisters and brothers and party and live. I'm 60 and once a month I'll kill a half a bottle of tequila just to get ripped. And know that I can still do it, like the old days.
