Greetings from Coastal Carolina!

Just a quick post to introduce myself.

I'm a 57-yr old Seeker of Truth, Wisdom and Beauty, happy to report occasional success in my quests--at least for truth and beauty--and the search has been rewarding in a number of collateral ways.

I have grown children and nearly-grown grandchildren, and I am married to a beautiful sexy (and understanding, bless her!) woman.

Life is indeed good, and although I can't do many of the things I did when I was 17 (and many things I can still do I don't do nearly as well), I still have fun trying anyway, or trying new things. I've actually improved at a few of the things I once found challenging, so those trade-offs during this journey are appreciated.

Not all my searches will have hedonistic objectives, but many do. It looks like this forum includes sybaritic, aesthetic, political and intellectual pursuits, so I will try to lurk and learn. I'll limit my posts to welcomes here until I'm confident I can match the rhythms of more experienced contributors. I look forward to learning from all of you!

I'm not thin-skinned, so when I do post something and you think I'm full of crap, feel free to point it out; I'd only ask that you say why. It's possible I may not have considered your perspectives when I posted, and you may convince me I was misguided. On the other hand, I've never been particularly meek about stating or defending a position.

That said, I promise here in my introduction not to be argumentative for its own sake, and to search for my answer before I post my question.
