Hi all, first post here, looking for some help!

Went to a festival this weekend and brought along some MDMA. I had already rolled twice before, and once using the same "batch", and been absolutely fine. Myself and 2 friends had several alcoholic drinks and each took a very small dose. I'd say I took 2/3 the amount I normally would. I had not been eating well and last ate around 4 hours before dropping.

We went to see a DJ outside in the woods. The music was good and at first I felt like I was coming up normally. Then I began to feel a bit sick, and told my friends I needed to sit down. We left the crowd and sat against a tree. It's very hard to describe what happened but I'll do my best.

It came in waves - at first, the "bad" would come for a short period, and then I'd be good for a longer period. As time went on, my "bad" period became longer, and in the middle I was down for about 20 minutes. As the MDMA wore off, the good periods became longer, and eventually I came down completely.

During the "bad" periods, I felt like I couldn't move. It felt like bad hypoglycaemia - I asked one of my friends to get me a Pepsi and he did. I don't know whether it helped or not because I started feeling better at the same time as the others started coming down. I also felt very cold (i was outside and not warmly dressed) - during "high" periods i felt tingly, not cold.

The worst part was mental. During the "bad" periods, I felt what can only be described as mental anguish. It felt like I was trapped inside my own mind and that negativity was surrounding me. I began to panic because it felt like this feeling would never disappear - I became very anxious and felt like I needed to get medical help. The only way I could manage to get through it without bugging out was to focus intensely on something calming. It's impossible to describe the way I felt - the best way to put it is the opposite of what MDMA should feel like. I was paralysed inside my own mind. My friends stayed with me and kept checking to see that I was conscious - I always was. They experienced no ill effect.

Sorry for the long post. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Could it have been the alcohol or lack of food? I'm not on any prescription drugs and was in a good mood. Thanks

I certainly won't be mixing the two in the future, however

    a) my friends had been matching me drink-for-drink and were completely fine
    b) from what I've learned by reading the net/talking to people, plenty of people do mix the two

That's why I think it might've been something else

edit: also as a side note, I'm sure it doesn't matter but FYI it was crystal MDMA, not pills

I wouldn't call it an OD, but it very well could be. I've seen people get "puddled" off of MDMA in a similar fashion to what I've seen in people who are puddled off LSD. By puddled I mean lack of all control, arms and legs flailing powerfully (so that they have to be restrained constantly) and random circular speech patterns that increase in words with time. Typically there is very little memory of the situation. (Note that the diff b/w MDMA puddling and Lucy puddling [in my experience as a witness] is that molly does not cause constant powerful flailing, though it can happen briefly, here and there)

I won't be AS harsh as Kil0025, but he is right to say mixing molly with alcohol is not a wise decision at all. It's been done, and can be, but I do not recommend it. MDMA creates such ecstasy and euphoria why add alcohol into the mix? This is just future advice here. As for your friends, I have no idea. Everyone's body will react differently to different substances and to different chemical combinations.

I have not experienced anything like you described, nor have I known anyone to, so I'm sorry I have no "real" advice or feedback. I'm glad you are ok, and I do hope you don't mix molly with alcohol in the future.

Thanks for the in-depth reply, goodvibes83. I certainly will never mix the two again - it was a spur-of-the-moment thing which will not be repeated.

I welcome more replies - I know everybody reacts differently to different things, but perhaps someone else has experienced a similar thing.

    Goodvibes83 summed it up.

I've been puddled before but not to a degree that I really felt in need of medical attention.

Are you on any SSRIs or SNRIs? bec. MDMA can produce Serotin Syndrome which is very dangerous and often fatal combined with MDMA. Just curious

Maybe the batch was a mix of MDA/MDMA

And you ended up eating a greater portion of the MDA

I kind of felt the way you did, when i took a decent amount of MDA. It was just during the first couple hours then then it went away.

Same thing happened more recently to my girlfriend and her friend. They had a really bad experience at a concert with MDA.

Be careful. Always start small. Skip the alcohol. Most cases it just makes your highs more "sloppy" and less pure from my experience.

If you want to drink...then just stick to weed. Or maybe a little bit of yayo if your into that type of nastiness.

Nope, no prescription drugs of any kind. No chronic illnesses.
I thought it might've been something like that. Thanks for the heads up. As I said, will definitely not be mixing booze with mandy again.
