Would nudism help to control sex crimes?

Referring to if the nude body never hidden from view throughout our lives.

Would it reduce sex crimes? or would they increase?

Public nudity compulsory!!! How would you punish people who chose not be nude. You can only make nudity compulsory in a club situation or on a small number of designated beaches.

There is little sex crime on public nude beaches but in isolated, semi-private situations nude people are more vulnerable and more able to commit such crimes. Then sex crimes in open spaces are very rare anyway. Most of them occur in homes or isolated places where privacy provides a cloak.

If people in general were more accustomed to seeing naked people throughout their lives then you would probably get more awareness and fewer instances of unwanted pregnancies. Statistics within different European countries bear this out, but a direct link with a relaxed attitude towards nudity is not that tangible.

My feelings are that sex crimes will always occur and while nudity may provide more opportunity in a few cases overall it will make little or no difference.

Another law to eliminate individual choice. Paaaaaleeeeeease.

'Clothed only' or 'optional'... 'nude only' seems a bit much unless its a pool or spa.

 

Rape is not done for the sex. It's a power trip for the perpetrator. They do it to put fear in the victim, to have control over them. Doesn't matter, I think, if either person is naked or not.

I far prefer to be a clothing optionalist rather than a strict nudist simply because I believe in personal freedom of choice. The majority of naturists simply accept that by going nude is a public place they will be seen by gawkers and deviants. We just don't care as long as they only look; besides very soon they get bored and go away.

 

I'm not sure if it would stop rape. But I suspect that shootings would drop considerably.

people love rape.. There are 50 million shows on Television that just play off of rape and rape and rape and rape.. Why would they want to curb it?.

Jason, you don't know jack shit about rape. It's not usually for the lookin' or for the fuckin'. More often than not it's for the power. Raping another person gives the rapist a mental "boost", but showing their superiority to their victim. It doesn't matter who the victim is sometimes, because to them the differences do not exist.

I'm not sure about sex crimes, but it is noticeable that in countries where nudity is more commonplace on beaches and spas, there are fewer teenage pregnancies.

How do you know it's never for the sex? I'm sure some people do it for power, but there are some people who are probably sociopaths, so they don't care about hurting others, and horny so they want sex, which would add up to committing rape for the sex. Still I think the idea that nudism everywhere would end all rape ridiculous in either case.
