What's the best anxiolytic for 1-time-use?

    I would like to know what the best anxiolytic is for 1-time-use.
    One that is has a short onset of effects and is relatively safe to use in combination with other drugs.

    The reason I would like to know is because I think, for example, it might come in handy when I am tripsitting someone who is doing acid and they get a bad trip. It could also be useful to get a DMT-trip without the fear you get in the beginning, at least I always feel fear when the trip starts.

    I know benzo's are shitty when you use them every day for a long time, but are they just as shitty when you use them once? If not, which is the best benzo for fast onset anxiolytic properties?

    I know strong opiates are shitty long-term, because they are very addictive, but are they as shitty when you use them once? If not, which opiate is the best for these kinds of situations?

    Or maybe there are some other drugs with strong anxiolytic properties... I would love to know.

    xanax is the fastest acting benzo. also has the shortest half life. no benzo is safe to use with opiates, though people do it.

    The strongest anxiolytic in my experience is either Butalbital (a barbiturate) or one of the atypical antipsychotics such as Zyprexa or Seroquel. The next tier down would be the benzos, with Xanax and Valium probably the best for anxiety IMO. But nothing beats the barbiturates and atypicals.

    Xanax seems to be the best choice I think. Barbiturates were replaced by benzodiazepines because the latter has less severe overdose-effects. The atypical antipsychotics had some very nasty side-effects according to wikipedia so I don't wanna mess with that.

    I know benzo's are generally safe. I will never use them with opiates, so don't be afraid. I wouldn't even know why I'd use them with opiates, cause opiates themselves already remove fear right?

    Yes. Something like Xanax is safest. I didn't know you wanted to know that. That is why I simply listed the STRONGEST anxiolytics, which are atypical antipsychotics and barbiturates.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

    Also, Xanax is probably the easiest benzo to get your hands on, that also packs a good 'punch.' Things like Temazepam and Triazolam are 'stronger' from my experience, but they are rarer.

    Good luck finding them. They are a sort of intermediate drug between the barbiturates and benzodiazepines. They act on the GABA receptor just like benzos do, and are slightly safer than barbs, but I would just stick with tried and trusted Valium, Xanax, or Klonopin.

    ok for a pre-dmt experience any benzo should so fine. now i need to clarify your other question. if your are trip sitting someone on acid and they start having a bad trip, is the anxiolytic for YOU or the person on acid? if its for you any benzo, opiate, even alcohol will help. if its for the person thats tripping the only thing thats going to work is a 5-ht2a antagonist, of which there are quiet a few. some of which you might recognize or be able to find are: abilify, zyprexa, seroquel, geodon, remeron, or trazodone.

    hope that helps

    @blitz7341:
    Thanks for the info! :)
    Of course the anxiolytic would be for the person having a bad trip lol. I'm supposed to take care of THEM, not myself. :p
