Added parts are in italic Who am I? I still don’t know completely, I’m still trying to figure myself out. Maybe I will never know the full answer to that question, but here’s where I’ve gotten so far. I am an earthling. I live in The Netherlands, but I don’t like to see myself as a Dutchman or as a European for that matter. I believe nationalism is bullshit and just another excuse to feel separated from other people. I also believe religion is bullshit and I hope it dies out soon. Science and reason have shown to be far more effective at uncovering truths than religion ever was. Religion demands respect, does not allow for it to be scrutinized and teaches people to stay (wilfully) ignorant and that is exactly the reason it does not deserve respect. I am a transhumanist, I believe that we can and should try to better ourselves in every single way possible. If gene-modification can produce children who are smarter and/or less prone to diseases and/or other cool stuff then I say “Why not?”. If technology in our bodies could make life more fun, more interesting, let’s do that! I want to save the world, although I don’t know how to do that. I believe the resource based economy (RBE) is the best system to build our society on. (At least the best system anyone has ever thought of till now, there might be better systems that nobody has thought of.) But I don’t know how to change the world from the monetary system to the RBE. I also believe the hippie way of thinking is the best way of thinking to create a society full of love, peace, freedom and happiness. I love people and I expect people to love me back. Lots of people who know me say I am naive. I assume that everybody wants to give love and receive love. I assume everybody wants to make this world a better place. So I have a very hard time believing that there exists such a thing as an “evil person”. I believe in damaged people, and weak people, but not evil people. Someone who murders his/her mother is not an evil person, that is a damaged person, at least I think. If someone is rich and has a lot of power and only uses his money and power to fulfill his own greed then I don’t think that is an evil person, that is a weak person, at least I think. I believe the question about good and bad / good and evil is very easy. Something is good if it increases overall happiness in the world, something is bad if it decreases overall happiness in the world. (Happiness and suffering can be measured in the brain these days, so it’s not just a vague term anymore.) I also believe it is very easy to judge a person. Do you try to NOT decrease happiness in the world? If the answer is yes then you are not a bad person. Then the next question is: do you try to increase happiness in the world? If the answer is yes then you are a good person, otherwise you are a neutral person. Again, I have a hard time believing that bad/evil people exist, I cannot believe someone would intentionally try to decrease happiness in the world. Even Hitler thought that he did something to eventually create a better world, in his eyes at least. Hitler was not an evil person, Hitler was a badly damaged person. Anyway, you might think that this easy way to distinguish between good and bad is kinda obvious. However, when I hear when people judge goths, emo’s, gays, hippies, and other people who are different then I doubt if people have ever thought about what makes a person good or bad. I have never understood how you could judge people based on how they look or who they like, because that has absolutely nothing to do with good or bad. I believe free love or polyamory is the way to go. However, I don’t know for sure if I can live that way (I’m eager to try though). What I mean by that is: if there was a world where I could have several girlfriends and/or boyfriends and all of them could also have several girlfriends and/or boyfriends and so on without anyone becoming jealous, that would be the best world to live in. However, I doubt if I could actually do that, I don’t know for sure if I would become jealous, because I’ve never tried it. If I could ever try it and I would become jealous then I wouldn’t say the idea failed, I would say I failed. If I would become jealous then I consider myself a damaged person, at least in that aspect. I want to be a nudist, but I can’t just yet haha. Because during weekdays I live with other students who don’t want to see me naked all the time and in the weekend I’m visiting my parents who also don’t want to see me naked. I think it’s very weird that we are raised to think that a naked body is a weird thing, is something to be ashamed of. When you live your life as a human being then the human body should be the most natural thing in the world to you, I think. Also, I’m kind of a sex-addict and I’m afraid that would be a problem when I become a nudist haha. If I would go to a nude beach I wouldn’t be surprised if I had a boner the whole time I was there. But that will probably go away in time. I love to experiment with drugs and I especially love psychedelics and empathogens. I believe drugs, if used safely and properly, can be a great addition to life on earth. I believe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to fund research which tries to make better drugs. A non-neurotoxic analog of MDMA for example (which feels as good as MDMA; I know there already exist non-neurotoxic analogs of MDMA, but those aren’t as good as MDMA itself). I’ve never had sex on drugs before, but I’d love to try. Why did I join this forum? Well it’s mostly because I have yet to find someone who thinks the way I do. I have never felt a connection with someone because where I live these ideas aren’t very common. I hope I will find some people here who I can really connect with on a deep level and hopefully meet in real life. And above all, I hope I will find love and understanding here on a level that I’ve never found before. Added parts are in italic

It's a shame, and also surprising, that you haven't found anyone in the past that holds similar beliefs and views such as your own. I usually connect with people on somewhat of the same wavelength as me through events surrounding music it seems. I'm the type of person will who strike up a conversation with just about anyone though, and it usually doesn't take too long to tell if we're on the same page or not. Anyways, I hope you discover some awesome friendships in this crazy virtual realm, haha. Take care!
