I'm looking for free land in Arkansas or any where. I have had no luck looking to information on the internet yet , so I thought I would just see if anyone on this website could help me. I'm wanting to start a homestead ASAP. Thank you .
You are going to have a hard time finding someone to let you use their land or give you land for free. There is public land but you would not be able to start anything you plan on having for very long. An idea would be to search for an established homestead or commune and ask if you could join. My .2
Right nows the best time to get land cheap or a creative trade, with the housing bubble and economy. Real estate companies arent going to advertise cheap land or . They want to sell the higher commission properties. Advertise in areas you want to settle or purchase. There's always desperate sellers out there needing to quickly get money or wanting a caretaker. Fish around you might get some kind finds.
Canada used to have the cheapest land. I'd see 5, 10 or 20 acre plots for $5 or 10k in Mother Earth News. It's so huge why isn't land free for homesteading? It's not all in private hands. I'm sure the govt. has claimed most for National Parks. I think the Natives own a lot of land.Same in the US lots of land the govt. claimed and leases out for mining and timber. Open it up to homesteaders.
well in my area the government gives all the land to the mining companies...which are owned mostly by China and Brazil...gotta thank the Liberals for that one
