How do you find out if you best friend is into you?

So normally rejection from a girl isn't so bad, but like, I have feelings for my best friend. Should I just get really drunk with her and hope that we hook up, or should I like, do some mad romantic guesture. This girl is into such things, but will that get her to like me or just feel sorry for me?

I don't think she's ever used the term best friend. I met her like 3 years ago when I was in a relationship, and we have been sort of in and out of contact during that time. But in the last 3 or so months we've become good friends again, and over the last like 3 weeks we've been hanging out a lot, and getting closer and closer, calling each other sweetheart, dear, lovely and that stuff, and cuddling sometimes. HOWEVER, she just listed me as her nephew on fb, and often talks about guys she wants to hook up with.
