Can’t wait for the Season Premier of TNT’s Falling Slies Falling Skies is set during the aftermath of an attack by an alien force that leaves the Earth decimated. Six months after the initial attack, a rag-tag band of survivor’s come together to fight back. The newly formed, group made up of soldiers of necessity, fight to win back their planet from the alien occupation. The show stars Noah Wyle from ER fame with executive producer Steven Spielberg bringing his magic to the small screen. We all know Spielberg’s work but if you aren’t into medical shows, the acting of Noah Wyle may be a mystery to you. However, if you loved the sci-fi movie Donnie Darko you might remember his small role as Professor Kenneth Monnitof (the teacher that feared losing his job for talking to Donnie about his thoughts on time). Like most shows of this era or any other they need to bring the heat with a sexy lady. In the case of Falling Skies you’ll get Moon Bloodgood at the head of the sexy-helm. According to her bio “Most recently, she starred in the Warner Bros. blockbuster Terminator Salvation, opposite Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. She also appeared in a three-episode arc of the series Burn Notice.” Terminator Salvation was woefully disappointing but at least she has some experience in a sci-fi role. What really sets the show up for success is the addition of Mark Verheiden who served as the writer on Battlestar Galactica & Heroes. Hotwater
So no one's been watching Falling Skies Sunday nights at 10:00 pm on TNT about an alien invasion of earth fictitiously set in Massachusetts Hotwater
I'm watching it. I like it so far. Might be a little slow at times. There were also a few plot points I thought they ended quicker than I'd like. Overall I think it has a lot of potential. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
If the aliens had an ounce of commonsense they’d realize it’s not a good idea to use children as slave labor. Hotwater
Why? It's done wonders for Chinas economy,,, Yea, love the show, but that last episode felt a bit more like a soap opera than a sci-fi/adventure story imo. Like Days of our lives with Guns and Aliens added for the sake of keeping us Males interested. But I'm not giving up hope yet. All is not Lost, which is good, because then we wouldn't see the next episode till September or so.
I am a HUGE fan of Falling Skies. I think it's brilliantly written and directed. I love how it's evolving with each episode.. we learn more about the characters and the skidders. Will Patton and Noah Wiley are amazing. I wouldn't mind seeing a little more of Moon Bloodgood, though! I can't wait for the season finale. Which is bittersweet - it looks great, looking forward to learning more about the "new" Aliens, but at the same time, its the finale. There's going to be a serious cliffhanger, no doubt. TNT is usually about not letting too much time go by between seasons, though.
I agree about ending plot points a little too soon. I woulda liked them getting more indepth about the group of survivors trading kids to the skidders in exchange for their safety. That was a nice plot twist but died too soon.
The harnass makes the stronger and faster, thats from what I gathered when Hal Caught Ben Jump roping for almost 3 hours. And it looks like the skidders are going to turn out to be people who evolved into Aliens after being harnassed. Also they hit you where it hurts when they take your kids. idk, just imo. But at the beginning I thought the same thing - why the kids?
Why because their Pineal glands arent nearly as calcified as the adults are from decades of flouridated water so they interface better with the harness. Everyone knows a healthy Pineal gland is essential when communicating with alien intelligence. I dont know, I haven't had my coffee yet and felt the need to post something...
By harnessing kids, the most innocent among us, I would think it would codify the resistance and further infuriate the masses against the alien invaders Next time before they invade earth they might want to read a book on human psychology Hotwater
