hey quick question i'm hoping some of ya'll here will be able to answer. within the past year or so, i've developed some self esteem issues due to some things that happened between me and a friend. i've never tried mdma, but have heard that it can be very therapeutic and evoke feelings of self acceptance. i was just wondering if these feelings only last until you come down, or if it can actually cause a permanent change in the way a person views themselves.
A permanent change. That's why it's used to treat post traumatic stress disorder for everyone from war veterans to rape victims.
that is plenty in terms of sheer amount of material, but the real power of it would not be found unless in the company of a trained MDMA therapist. However, even alone, you can have profound, life changing realizations.
While MDMA is really proficient at what it does, I wouldn't use it as a crutch for something like self esteem but it does often have the unique action of softening your ego while boosting confidence. I'd go with 200 mgs and if you have some other friends who are interested in trying it, do it with them. As far as serious therapeutic use, as Writer mentioned therapy is usually in the presence of a trained therapist and MDMA is used in conjunction with other forms of more traditional therapy.
