because of a growing problem with burglaries in my town I got hired a special job by the city and I work as an assistant for law enforcement to help reduce burglaries. work starts at 12:30am and ends at 5am. I wear all black clothing and have a walkie talkie and binoculars. what I do is get dirty and hide in bushes in hills that overlook neighborhoods and watch the streets and look all around for any suspicious activity and report it. I also have permission that if someone runs from police in a foot chase and runs to the hills and trails which I patrol then I can take them down and pin them till officers catch up. just kidding. I wish I had this job though. cus car burglaries happen all the freaking time around my town. maybe I should write the sheriff captain or whatever and suggest my idea and I can start as a volunteer and if I catch lots of people then get a payed job.
Right now, I am in graduate school for Mathematics. So I already have a BS in that subject. I am a Teaching Assistant, which is something like 'apprentice professor'. I don't have full responsibility of a course, but I do teach/lecture on my own and create my own assessments, etc. I get paid $20,000 per year, but considering it is only like 8 hours of work per week, I am quite pleased and content with it. Of course, I have my OWN coursework too, but it isn't terrible. I think it is a pretty good setup for right now. I hope to get my Master's and either be a full-time Lecturer (lower-level professor) or work in the pharmaceutical industry using my mathematics skills.
I was working as a cook at a restaurant making $11.50/hr but I took a leave of absense in order to stop my opiate addiction, but I'm going back in the fall. Right now I got a job on the weekends doing labour work at a farm, working under the table for about $10 an hour plus room and board. The work is tough and even though the wage is low I still enjoy it because they provide me with as much food as I can handle, plus they got a pool, sauna, and horses I can ride around on in my spare time.
I half own a bunch of properties and my other half owns the other half and we live offthe rent or sometimes buy cheap and sell for $$$.
