at the cinema. What was it? Mine was Jurassic Park Thankfully I fell asleep because I was about seven and it was past 9pm.
The first that I can remember is E.T. I was maybe 5 or 6. I went to see it with my family, if I'm remembering correctly lol.
One of the first films I remember Mum + Dad taking me to - Its an Oldie - but a Goldie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgnO1db9OjY&feature=related"]YouTube - theme from whistle down the wind malcolm arnold Of its' day, one that depicts the innocence of children > The children find a stranger in a barn - and believe it's Jesus Christ - not knowing he's a Murderer on the run Love the theme tune - (My Mum played in on her Radio programme - But that's another story)
Not if it offends you. E.T. isn't a fav of mine but I remember that I cried at the end of it lol. I was like, a little kid.
If you had any idea the shit I've just had thrown at me from various corners of the internet lately... Besides, you want a laugh? i think the first film I went to see at the cinema was Bambi, not sure though. In my defence I also watched the Evil Dead when I was 10 years old, obviously not at the cinema though.
I think Star Wars (1977) might have been the first film I saw in the cinema, I would have been 6. when videos came in, I watched the Obi Wan / Vader light sabre fight scene so many times I wore out the tape I saw Grease as well, but apparently that was '78, probably saw Watership Down in the cinema also. I've never seen E.T. and don't intend to, it was a point of principle
A lot of the very very first films I 'saw' rather than watched as an infant are mixed up in my head. I'm managed to untangle them over the years except for just the one left. Something about 60's bikers killing a couple in a barn and throwing them down on to the straw. I saw that when I was about 5 i think. Other films that I had mixed together for years in flash entangled memories in my head before I got to actually 'watch' them were: Krull & Barbarella Zardoz & Time Bandits Psychomania & KnightRiders Lord of the Rings (1978 animation) & The Black Cauldron. Mad Max 1 & The Gods Must Be Crazy Some were best left entangled.
I've been told I saw The Land Before Time when I was 3, but the earliest I can remember is Beauty and the Beast when I was 6.
