Glass bowl turned black, never cleaned it, how bad is it to smoke from it?

I was just wondering b/c I've been really busy lately, I havent had a chance to clean it out. So, how bad do you guys think it is for someone to smoke out a black glass bowl?

its good, mines been black for 2 years since i cleaned it last..lol you'll be fine. if you boil a pot of water with the bowl in it it comes out lookin brand new, if you're not too stoned and lazy ha ha

 

All that black gunk is just left over plant matter, waste, tar, and other crap you probably don't want in your lungs. The bowels of the cannabis plant if you will. I suggest cleaning it with salt and alcohol or use a commerical cleaner like Orange Chronic or Formula420. Once cleaned, you will be able to hit it better thus giving you a better smoke and more vapor to get that THC to your bloodstream.

 

The black stuff on your bowl is resin from the burning bud, scrape it up with something and either smoke it or throw it out, but its not dangerous at all to ingest.

Do NOT use boiling water. It weakens the glass, use isopropyl alcohol if you need to clean it, just soak overnight and use some hot water from the tap to rinse it out.


Smoking with a resined up bowl isn't bad. All mine are, for the duration of their smoking life. I clean them before I put them away for good. The resin may make it taste different, but it helps catch loose weed that falls through the hole in the bowl.

 

I am not sure how bad it is to smoke out of it but I scrape that black stuff commonly called resin out of my glass pipe and smoke it. get me really high if I scrape a lot.

 

try putting it in a ziplock baggie with rubbing alcohol and some epsom salt and shake the shit outa it

 

Lemon juice also works very well .

Its not bad for you, remember what the pipe is used for in the first place. With that said its also not good to have too much resin built up. Clean it with rubbing alcohol or pipe/bong cleaner every now and again.
DONT COLLECT AND INTENTIONALLY SMOKE RESIN, it will get you high but at a great cost to your lungs.
The resin is the after product of cannabis combustion. Your body also creates after products after digesting your food, you wouldn't consume your bodies by-products of digestion now would you? the same rule applies to resin.

 

This is what you do... (because this is what I do to "clean" my pipe:

You get a little bitty knife or good little flat head screwdriver. Have PATIENCE and gently scrape this black, tar-like residue and put it on (by "wiping") papers (1/5s are my preference). Do this to several ones...until you are happy with your cleaned pipe.

This is like hash oil, practically. It is excellent. I let my papers "dry" enough for them to smoke with a bit of smoke rolled into them.
