:2thumbsup: I started listening to them some time after Three Cheers came out. They were the first band I remember calling my 'favorite', when really they were simply a group whose sound had enticed me enough to look into those responsible. I'm not so sure about their newer stuff. What's so great about MCR is they keep you guessing; Danger Days was just something new, the next step. They get some shit from time to time but they're good at treating it as part of the game. And now look where they are.
MCR is one of the very few newer bands that I actually like. I'm rather eclectic with my music tastes, but most of what is being produced now just sucks. I miss the 90's, alternative was so much better than the pop out now. MCR is original, at least. Gerard is a fucking genius, I read an article on the band in Spin magazine and I was just blown away by his creativity, which is a large part of their originality.
I used to listen to them like four years ago when I was in my emo phase, after that I thought they were pretty lame.
