Im sure its been asked before but what is the preferred? My PM Dr is pretty open to giving me whatever I suggest, right now im on 60-60mg Oxycontin a month and for break thru pain 240- 15mg IR Oxycodone a month but am ready for a bump up sorta speak. I have tried Opana, Fent patches, Morphine and Oxycontin. Im thinking about asking for 80 mg Oxy because these new ones suck ass but wasnt sure what to ask for as far as break thru. I have never tried Dilaudid and dont use needles so any advise would help-thanks
Dilaudid worked wonders for my mother when she was in pain oxy didn't handle Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
I broke my leg in 8 places so I have plates and screws along with a knee replacement. Fun times! Do you get a high from Dilaudid and can you snort? If I do away with 240 oxy's its gonna have to be GOOD-
If you don't use needles, dilaudid's are a waste... but if you're iv'ing, then they're right up there with morphine in my opinion... i love dilaudids, but i like to shoot my dope... the best drug i ever snorted was opana, (now that's the bomb when crushed and snorted!!!!!!!! if the doc will give you a months supply of opana 40's, plus your 240 oxy's, that's a sweet deal!
Oral Hydromorphone will not impress you if you were not impressed by the likes of Oxymorphone and Fentanyl!! Sounds like you should work on lowering your tolerance instead.
Snorting an 8mg Dilaudid knocks me on my ass and it, of all opiates produces my favorite high. I get 90 40mg Opana ER and 120 8mg Dilaudid now. (I was getting 120 10mg Opana IR) but something about the Opana IR just makes it completely different from the ERs. I barely got a buzz off of the IRs. But I Love Dilaudid
I have made significant progress in doing it. For a start, take 1,000mg of Magnesium (the chelated version works best, don't buy the cheap Magnesium Oxide) per day for a month. See how that helps! There are other methods too, but that one is the safest and most conventional.
So take this and gradually decrease the number of pills? What does the Magnesium do as this is the first I have ever heard of
Don't decrease your opioid intake. Doing this will simply allow what you take to be more effective and then you won't be searching for something 'better'. It doesn't do anything noticeable. Pharmacologically, it is an NMDA channel blocker. Such agents are known to decrease opioid tolerance (that is why methadone is dosed so exponentially- it is a potent NMDA antagonist), and Magnesium is the safest place to start. I noticed zero side effects from it. I now take another (stronger) NMDA antagonist called Agmatine, but it has a few (minor) side-effects (it is more effective though- I am taking half the Suboxone I was taking three weeks ago!), so start with Magnesium.
Yeah. It lowers your tolerance. By 'does nothing' I meant it does not alter your consciousness, disturb you physically or have any side effects. That is what I attempted to convey.
