Freedom from Conscience -- Melanie's Journey

I brought this book up in the "erotic" thread but I really liked "Freedom from Conscience -- Melanie's Journey."

The book deals with a young woman who is a gifted outsider. She is also psychopathic as she has had a troubled childhood and has been bullied by classmates for years. However, in her new school she meets a male and female student who seem to really want to be her friends. She also is introduced, by them, to a charismatic and esoteric psychology instructor. Eventually she is introduced to their dark world of serial killing.

There is a great deal of sexual tension between the lead female character and her female friend, as well as with the new teacher. However, you don't find out how that will evolve until towards the end.

The victims of this group are, with only one exception, deserving of what they get. I would say the book is like if you put the old Deathwish movies together with La Femme Nikita sort of style. It is a fun, and somewhat scary read.
