I think it is for the same reason that Straight people tend to have friends of their sex. There isnt the sexual thing going on which is nice in a friendship. Not that I dont have guy friends, because I do. I just like having chick friends because it takes away the sexual attraction bs
people are always attracted to hanging out with people of similar interests. So it make sense that gays hang out with women and lesbians hangout with guys. Don't think they want to be them, most of time anyway, LOL
i love the fact that my male gay friends like to hang out with girls, because for the most part i cant stand hanging out with guys all the time, but if theyre gay it doesnt bother me. i could hang out with gay guys all the time and never even bother with straight guys haha
I hang out mostly with girls and am gay. It has always been like this, ever since I was a child and before I realized I was gay. Girls are much easier for me to talk to- and that is the end of it. It has nothing to do with me wanting to be a girl. Maybe when I was a child it was a little bit like that, but I am a man and love being a man.
I am 100% gay, but i neither dress nor act like a girl.. I think that the stereotype that gay men are flamboyant and lesbians are butch is kindda destructive. There are so many exceptions to that stereotype that it is appalling that it is constantly brought up. nothing against fem or butch but in my experience those traits are not the majority or either group.. If they want to or feel that they should be the opposite sex that is transgenderism which is a completely different group.. Dont get me wrong I love transgenders.. Bring a new level of wow to society that has been missing since gay people became a public issue. ROCK ON! \m/(>.<)\m/
I'm a lesbian and most of my friends are female (not all, but most). What you describe is definitely not the case for everyone.
when I dress like a girl. I have more Girl Friends than the straight guys.. and boy do they get mad..
i'm gay, i act and dress like a man and have male friends. and it's always been like this ever since i was a kid. never been too big on female personality.
I am a lesbian and all my friends are girls, except for a gay guy and a very effeminate guy. I think that guys are easier to approach and to talk to than women, but I don't really like hanging out with dudes that much, unless he's got something really unusual and therefore interesting about him. Men tend to be more fun to hang out with on occasion because they tend to do more exciting things than girls do, but girls make better long-term, general hang out buddies. Dudes also always get crushes on me, which can be annoying as hell.
I'll go with that too - I'm st8-acting bisexual but like hanging out with women and gay guys; on the whole I find st8-guys are pretty boring. Simon :sunny:
i don't have that at all. sure there are certain types of guys that annoy the fuck out of me, guys i have subzero interest in whether as friends or more, but it doesn't have anything to do with a guy's sexuality. i've met a large number of heterosexual guys that are fascinating to talk to and hang out with; and i keep on meeting more of them as life goes by. i honestly don't know where you find just the boring ones.
