My name is Yukari..but I go by "Yuka" from Japan I have lived here for 5 years now. I love living here in the USA because I feel I am treated better as a young woman where I was not before in Japan and I feel more free and able to do things I would not be able to do in Japan.

I suffer from crohn's disease, so I medicate with the use of cannabis. In Japan, this would not be readily available as the laws are day and night to the USA. I never have had used it before until I was told by my doctor and G.I. about the benefits for weight gain and it's anti-inflammatory properties.

I will soon gain citizenship and call it home here of the USA. Banzai!

This will soon change (My hair color) I want auburn with highlights like my friend has..caucasian girls I think have prettier hair :/

So it is helpful with your symptoms? Auto immune diseases can be very draining. Feel free to come back to chat and talk about whatever.

    Welcome Yukari.

I know what you mean about the mj laws in northern Asia, they suck. I've been living in Japan and Korea for the past few years and I am enjoying it a lot, but the draconian drug laws here are a bit ridiculous.

I'm about to relocate down to Laos or Thailand though, where I can really chill out properly :)

Enjoy Washington. I sometimes wish I was back there.

yes. very much. The medications like prednisone can also be very draining to add insult to injury. which I am tapering on. taking vitamins and good diet are key. I do Zen Meditation which also helps. I always thought westerners were subject to diseases like crohn's but after living here for 5 years I found out any one can get it..maybe its the good eatin' lol. But I heard poor diet can lead to it..Not entirely though.

I cannot say anything good about Prednisone. I came to the conclusion after relatively high doses for months that I will refuse it unless the swelling becomes too great to bear the pain and even then I will be looking to get off it when it becomes bearable. Prednisone just messes with the mind too much for me.

I use medical marijuana and it has had sort of the domino effect. I no longer have to take Vicodin and since my buzz is more than satisfactory I can put down the bourbon also. This is very important since lab results in April were showing some swelling in my liver.

I have been hitting the clubs around Denver and found I do not have to drink much whiskey in order to start slurring since I have been medicated on marijuana 12-18 hours a day, so I have just stopped drinking. It costs more money and I am sufficiently high. I can enjoy a band or a concert in the state I am already in.
