I called the cops once when I heard a loud argument across the hall end in "What, it's like you want me to hit you." followed by some not so good noises.

Once when working at the pr0n shop. My friend working at the other store called me 'cause there was a scary drunk guy about that she couldn't safely get out of the store. She told me most of it between the lines because she didn't want the guy to over hear and get riled. So on her behalf I called 911. - 911 must have thought I was bogus.
After half an hour she called back, said dude had passed out in the store and no cops had shown. So I closed down my shop, went to hers to help. Dude was too heavy to lift out of the store but we disarmed him and then I called the police directly. They showed up two hours later. No big deal at that point though, once dude was passed out and disarmed, we just needed someone to move him.

Last time was several years ago, someone on this site made a suicide post. Their e-friends believed it to be real but nobody had the balls to contact anybody IRL to see if they could help. Saddest part was explaining to the cyber-dectective was why nobody tried to contact them earlier, despite knowing that someones life may had depended on it. (Cops found the poster in hospital, they had indeed attempted suicide)

One time my neighbor got WAY too drunk and was being a douchebag to his wife and it got to the point where I was convinced he was going to start shoving her around right there in the backyard! I called the cops. It was like 3am anyway.

    Yes they do.

I called the cops on some people once. They (the fuzz) asked me so many personal questions over the phone, despite the fact that they always claim calls can be anonymous. They asked me where I work, when I work, etc. I told them that calls were supposed to be anonymous and they got all sassy.

I've never called them again, and probably won't unless there's a really terrible situation.

Yes, I have. Once when my home was burglarized.

The second time was when I was shopping in a mall and a woman kept hitting her child in the head with an open hand. She was charged and I had to go to court.

A few times I called when someone needed assistance when I stopped as they had a motor vehicle accident.

Twice I have called when someone was suicidal.

No, never. I really have no use for pigs.

About 15 years ago one of my friends was burglarized. He came home from work and the thief jumped out the window when he was found. First he called 911, then he called some friends. Me and everyone else showed up within 2-3 minutes with guns and started searching the neighborhood for suspicious people (didn't find anyone). An hour later NOPD still hadn't shown up, I'm not sure if they ever did.

    • If someone is in danger, they're better of calling friends and family that live close by.
    • Id someone has stolen from you, you're better off calling friends and family that live close by.
    • If there isn't anyone in danger and you weren't robbed, you shouldn't be ratting anyone out.

I have reported my cars stolen which has resulted in the recovery of the vehicles on two occasions. I have never prosecuted an individual. I have reported burglary of a business for the sake of insurance replacement.

I've only called the cops on someone once. It was about a month ago when I was living in Miami when my neighbors were beating the shit out of each other. I think if I wouldn't have called the lady wouldn't be alive today, it was that bad.

    Or steal your pot.

But live and learn... I wasen't thinking clearly at the time, but of course, becaues HE had the pot, I should have called the cops and said I lost part of a tooth and my pot, go get the motherfucker.

Where I used to live, like 7 years ago, there was a guy who called the cops because something like 2 pounds got jacked from him and he knew who did it. The cops went and found it, and then asked him to identify his marijuana. The dumb motherfucker said "oh yeah, that's mine", and both got arrested for it, altho the burgular also got charged for stealing marijuana.:frown:

Burgulary is illegal. Assault (in my case) is illegal. Theft of goods with real value is illegal.
