Hi, I'm the real thing, an ancient hippie who remembers a big discussion over whether the word should be spelled "hippy" or "hippie". I was part of a thriving community in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and I've logged on here with something of an ulterior motive. The legendary John Sinclair and I are working on a television series that will accurately depict those amazing days and we're trying to come up with some support for the project. Am I allowed to post a link to a kickstarter project on here? If so, where?

Other than that: What do you want to know? You've got questions, I've got answers.

I began working on an underground newspaper when I was 13 and everyone on the masthead got an FBI file. God knows what's in it now. How about you?

If you say deborah quickly it sounds like de-bra.

Which is why I always thought it was a silly name for a girl.

that's crazy. I wonder if you could get info via freedom of information act or something. I don't see how legally the government could keep tabs on you just for a newspaper.

    :(
