it's cracka - it is a derogatory to white people. why can a black person call me a cracka, if it is a pretty basic turn of phrase

and yet i'm unable to call them a negro? it was perfectly acceptable until someone decided it was racist. all i takes is a change of perception

it's accepted racism - i have been called this and it pisses me off.

    i mean, consider

you bitch = you female dog? i think not. words change and principles should be maintained.

A black person can call you a cracka because you let them. I gave a fella an ear full when he referred to me as 'yo white boy'. I politely asked him if I referred to him as black boy if he would be offended. He understood what I meant and apologized. Sorted. He clearly didn't mean anything by it, so it was all good, but he should know that another man may not be as forgiving as I was.

An old fashion way: then; "phone ringing off the hook". I guess if I lived in New York; I could put my phone off the hook, and assume it ...

I think racist terms are hilarious. Words only have power when they are given power.

I say chitlins all the time. I'm not sure if I would say chitlins around a black person, but...I probably would.

I don't have a racist bone in my body and because of that, I tend to throw around racist terms like there is no tomorrow. Generally for the same reason I cuss like a sailor...I like words, and I really like words that dress up the english language and make it more colorful. I don't even think about it with any ill intent.

Chitlin is funny. So is porch monkey. Maybe people of other ethnicities just get jealous that they haven't gotten creative enough with racist terms for white people. I mean, cracker and honkey? Surely someone can do better than that.

Your friend should think about this...You didn't use the word chitlin with any negative connotation. The word had no power until he gave it power by taking offense.

Someone on the school board in my town got in trouble a couple of years ago for referring to kids in the school district as "porch monkeys." haha we're so backwards here sometimes.

I hate it when people refer to a white person who likes rap music as a "wigger". Few people realize that it means "white ******". lol

I've heard the term cracker comes from slave days, like the crack of the whip. So if anyone ever calls you a cracker they're actually really referring to you as master, which just makes me laugh my ass off.

I grew up in a black neighborhood where I got called cracker all the time for nothing but my skin color. I had to find humor. The black kids never realized why I always laughed when they tried to insult me. Ignorance is bliss.

I hate how monkey is considered racists because I wanna call just about everyone monkey's. Some people haven't been naturally selected out yet, and that goes across the board. Nothing to do with race.

Also, the first time I heard jiggaboo I thought it just sounded like a funny word, or a name of a dance. I still don't know how that one's racists or where it even came from.

During the NBA playoffs when Boston and Miami were playing Ray Allen (I think it was Ray Allen.) from Boston dunked the ball at one point and then hung on to the basket because someone was underneath him and Allen didn't want to fall on the other guy. So I said something about how he looked like a monkey swinging around on from one arm. And my dad (My parents have a much cooler, bigger TV than I, so I was watching at their house.) said something like "I never knew I raised a racist!!" That had me cracking up, the hidden racial double entendre. Yes, "monkey" or "ape" is a derogatory term for a black man, but I was talking about how he was swinging around by one arm.
