we're still at what, 9% unemployment? and it's been that way for a long time now. and nobody in the government seems to notice or care. they could do something if they wanted, but they've chosen not to. meanwhile weinergate, while funny, gets sh1tloads of attention on the tv. not encouraging at all.
What annoys the shit outta me is that there's no good alternative to vote for in 2012. I wonder where our country is heading? And I can't come up with an answer. And what makes me even more angry is that I now have to work for a corporation after graduating college when I honestly don't want to. But what are my alternatives? Collect degrees?
Collecting degrees doesn't sound like such a bad idea to me. I may well do some of that, though first I have to break through my very poor general use of hours, between dropping classes and being suspended.... my school has some sort of hour limit per degree, which I find to be pretty BS, there's a lot of classes I'd like to take, but that have nothing to do with any degree I'd ever want. If I want 148 hours instead of 145, it's none of their fucking business, hell, i'm paying for it anyway....
RON PAUL is the man who should run America, I believe hes a true patriot that is worthy of being a leader.
I agree with the OP. And would add Obama is a much bigger and threat than any previous president, or current official. Yes he is no different from anyone else. But ppl believe he is. They believe he stands for the opposite of what he does. Americans should be terrified of what happened in 2008. Obama took more money from wallstreet and corporations and handed out more appointments to their ppl than any previous president, and the ppl applauded it. There is no difference between Republican and Democrat as far as policy goes. The only difference is the perception among the ppl. No matter who they pick the powers that be get there way. Obama scares me, because he can do anything and get a free pass. No one questions it, no one protests it. Before you bring up the tea party protests in 09 that is hardly the protests we saw under previous administrations, and the media did not treat those protests seriously so they accomplished little. We need a third party, ppl to realize the democrats don't care about them just as republicans don't.
Well here he is earlier today speaking about everything. I found it to be helpful towards this type of attitude. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bUsYG9QnDQ
the so-called 'debt crisis' (the debt ceiling negotiations) is going to be the red herring that is used to put nails in the coffin of any freedom we have left, imo. RooR, i'm writing in ron paul, no matter who the two lying parties run. it's all i can do at the polls to protest and not go to jail. give 'em hell, RooR!
Alright people...there is only one solution here... I'll run for president in 2012. I'll take one for the team and pay off the major parties so that I win and I will do everything that people ask of me to do and I will listen to all of the whining Americans that don't agree with random things, like how often I wash my toilet seat and whatnot. What's it going to take people to understand that no matter what party you go for, no one is ever going to agree with every single thing a president does....ever. Vote Malia 2012!
The media doesn't give enough attention to the real issues sure. CNN annoys me because every time they show an Obama speech, they cut it half way in the middle and we have to listen to some stupid 'journalist' comment on what he said before they cut him off. MSNBC plays the whole speech, granted some commercial breaks may occur. Fox won't really show the speech, they will just find something to bitch about and play a sound bite. The media is run for money, just like medicine, prisons, and war. All four of those are corrupt on some level, but the media puts it right in front of your face. Sad really. I wasn't even alive but I mourn the days of Walter Cronkite, such a good anchor. Didn't get in the way and had such a news worthy voice. Jack Cafferty is the only real 'anchor' left in news. Its sad, but its also something we have to deal with. No use dragging on it really.
I also got some good feelings about him- he doesnt seem a hoax like Obama, Bin Laden or Assange but I think he is just here to make seeming a reel chance...to keep people calm and with false espoir
I believe Obama to be no worse than George W Bush. I do, however, think that you are upset at the wrong people concerning your political dissent. The truth of the matter is, power in this country is not centralized. We must realize that Obama is simply an over dramatic simplification of the power in Washington, that there are many at the tables, and that comparing these policies to nazis, communists or satanists are simply ridiculous and silly. Such accusations lead me to believe that people don't actually want to do anything about anything.... they just wish to point fingers, shower them in hatred and anguish and allow things to spiral downward. If you see policies for what they really are... who they're helping, and what they're intended to do you can start to get a realistic explanation, and therefor get a feeling as to what should be done. Stalin is not benefiting from the Obama Administration, neither is the soviet union, nor is there any reason that it would or could be associated. Nor is George Bush Hitler. If we continue this overblown emotional struggle in politics we shall never get anything done. Turn off your hearts for a minute, listen to your mind, and notice boring, cold and down to earth facts. Humanity out.
Exactly. Political parties are there to split apart the nation and create minor differences so that the powers that be can continue to profit and benefit while the workers bicker amongst themselves. Otherwise, we would vote for people, instead of parties.
I think that governments shouldnt be around and its keeping us from discovering our freedom as we get older. say im crazy thats fine with me i just hate the system and everything that has to do with it ..
I am always amazed when someone thought voting for Obama would actually change anything.... Republican/Democrat just two sides of the same coin, doing the same thing, just with a different face. Vote for a third party. It is our only option to get third parties to prevelance.
Same with obama. The difference is obama will tell you he's changed something, and is changing more. And to the above poster, no, of course these corrupt policies don't HELP long dead dictators, I'm drawing similarities between the things they did, and the things our country is shifting towards, and how they shifted. It's pretty simple: you create an enemy if you don't have one, and you protect people so viscously that you have control before they know it. We have enemies, like drugs, the economy, terrorists, etc. These are all either false threats, or easily fixed, but it's politically advantageous to have problems to fight. My frustration with obama is because he's just a new colour for bush policies, that's the ONLY difference. Bush was sort of honest, he was all about liberating everyone to his standard of "freedom". Obama will tell you it's different, but it's identical, if not worse.
