Canadian Speedskater Suspended For Failing Drug Test

    21 year-old Canadian short track speedskater Maxime Fortin from Rivière-du-Loup received a two-month ban yesterday for failing a drug test, testing positive for cannabis. During the ban Fortin will be unable to train with his teammates, which is during the off season. He is a former Canadian junior champion who has competed internationally since 2007.


    Because, you know, the pot helps him skate faster...

    Besides, he's from Quebec, it's not his fault. Smoking cannabis is pretty well mandatory in many places there...

    I was just depressed because an entire family dominates that sport in quebec.
