This is something the mainstream media has refused to report enough on. A company in Utah named "Teen Escort Services" is regularly contracted to kidnap LGBT teenagers in the middle of the night, deport them to a concentration camp in a country that doesn't extradite to the US, and torture them. The goal of these concentration camps is to beat "the gay" out of them. It's legal because homophobic parents sign over legal documents allowing them to go to these camps to "cure" their homosexuality. They are not allowed to leave these camps and are regularly tortured, they are also banned from speaking about the outside world. According to some testimonies, the teenagers tried to rebel against their Nazi overseers, but were gunned down with rubber bullets.

Please don't blame the entire United States for these crimes against humanity. In Utah (and Jamaica, which is where one of the concentration camps is located) teenagers lack the same basic human rights as adults and Utah is known for being predominantly Mormon. For those of you who don't know, Mormonism is a radical far right wing sect of Christianity that often does outrageous things and promotes incest, inbreeding, and now apparently the kidnapping & false imprisonment of minors. This is legal because the companies involved "donated" large sums of money to many politicians and the leader of one of the concentration camp operating companies, World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools, is a close personal friend of many politicians, including Mitt Romney.

It's good to know that if my daughter ever likes girls, I can pay these people to beat and confine her, so that I don't have to. Capitalism and the free market, baby.

Didn't read most of it, it's very long winded.

If that's real, it looks like she's still got serious stockholm syndrome. I, personally, would use full names of everyone, for instance. There's no reason to be protecting employees or whatever there. It's very apologetic, and always saying how she understands that sometimes..... it's okay to violently, brutally physically and emotionally assault and abuse people, but it would be nice if it wasen't all the time...

I'm not going to take this thread very seriously, seems a tad overdramatized, especially with the use of the phrase concentration camps

But on the issue, I will make one point.

The numbers of teen gay kids facing the same kind of crap in 'regular' society far outweighs the numbers facing some kind of weird re education in the bible belt.

Say in the US, 2% of kids under 18, or 2% of 20% of 300 million....at least 1/2 million in urban areas vs a few 10,000 in the bible belt.

A little dude growing up even in the burbs of San Francisco, depending how 'unique' he is will face bullying, harassment, hazing, brutality up to getting raped in the changerooms etc, most adults looking at him weird, girls getting all bitchy, most guys getting angry just at his presence etc...all the snotty comments and dumb jokes from sometimes an early age, day in, day out.........or the gay girls getting molested as some kind of way to straighten them out.

And usually they keep quiet cos often everyone else, including family likes to pretend this kind of stuff doesnt happen....and I'm talking about modern urban secular society.

So stuff like this ends up sounding like blame shifting, even if not the intent, lets pretend this craziness only happens with the bible bashers cos everywhere else is so accepting.

Even though in Sydney, I still cant walk through 95% of Sydney suburbs holding my boyfriends hand and not have everyone look like I've got a suicide vest strapped to my chest

The World Wide Association Of Specialty Programs and Schools (WWASPS or WWASP) is an organization based in Utah, in the United States. WWASPS was founded by Robert Lichfield and was incorporated in 1998. WWASPS states that it is an umbrella organization of independent institutions for education and treatment of troubled teenagers, all operating in accordance with WWASP guidelines. Many outside observers believe, however, that the WWASPS-affiliated institutions are actually owned (through limited partnerships, many of which have used the same street address) by WWASPS or its principal officials or their close relatives.[1][2][3] WWASPS is connected to several affiliated for-profit companies. These include Teen Help LLC, the marketing arm of WWASPS and the entity that processes admissions paperwork; Teen Escort Service, a teen escort company that transports teenagers to WWASPS facilities; R&B Billing, which does tuition billing and payment processing;[4] and Premier Educational Systems, LLC (also called Premier Educational Seminars), which conducts orientation and training workshops for parents whose children are in WWASPS facilities.[5] WWASPS claims to have helped over 10,000 students with issues related to personal behavior.[6] Some participants and parents give positive reports of their experiences, but others say that WWASPS programs were abusive.[2] WWASPS has faced widespread allegations of physical and psychological abuse of the teenagers sent into its programs,[2] resulting in a lawsuit filed against the organization in 2006.[7] WWASPS officials report that the organization is no longer in business, but because of ongoing litigation, it has not been dissolved.[8]

While I question the part where 'mainstream media' has ignored this, the story itself isn't new, nor is surprising.

Religious groups have been doing things like this for a very long time.

There was a show on W5 up here years back about this very thing, with the exception that they weren't talking about transfering them to another country. It happens right in the US (and Canada as well as most other places where the religious freaks can get away with it).

It is only the last 10-20 years that things like this have been forced further into hiding as more of the general populace embrace equality for everyone.

It also isn't just the mormons who do this.

Oh, I'm pretty sure that's a robo post (although maybe not by an actual bot)...

As in, the poster came here, just to post it, and you will likely find the same identical thing in many other places...
